SOURCE: battery not charging

You didn't indicate the make and model number of your tool, but almost universally, all lights flashing on a charger indicate a bad battery. If the system in the charger detects that the battery has a short, bad cell or anything else wrong, it will not attempt to charge the battery.

My Sylvania smpk4230 wont charge

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

WON'T RECHARGE

Take it back, warranty coverage is usually one year. From the description it sounds like the DC jack in the player is loose, {normally solded to the main board}

How long should i charge my jump box

I'm not familiar with this model, but other boxes I've used have all had some kind of power level indicator to show their charge level. I'm sure yours does too. Charge it at least until the indicator shows it's full. You can leave the unit charging for as long as you want, actually. The charging circuitry drops to a low trickle when the unit is fully charged, and won't damage anything by overcharging. (We have one where I work. As soon as we're done jumping something it goes back on charge, and it's over three years old now.)

Hello,

Your power supply board is dead, you know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Take care in solving the problem.....

Sudden Power Loss

Most likely a problem on the sub-power pcb. If its under a year old it is still on parts warranty.
