I have a 2011 Panasonic plasma tv I bought new in 2011 and today there is a red/blue stripped line 1-1.5 inches wide across the top and a dotted green/purple line 3-4 inches below the blue/red line.

I tried resetting the tv, unplugging it, and changing inputs and the lines won't go away.

Hi have a samsung 42 inch plasma, all of a sudden it has a band 20cm wide of dotted lines going across the whole screen, some channels or when playstation in use the band gets wider, does not seem to...
if the band is horizontal your tv has bad y-buffer board. Usually there are 2 buffer boards- top and bottom. if the problem is in the top half of the screen replace the top board, otherwise replace bottom board.
but better to replace both a the same time.

if the tv has a vertical lines from top to bottom it may have bad plasma panel and can be considered as not economical to repair.

About two months ago my flat panel plasma tv
Most like likely, this is a panel issue and it will be too cost to fix.

Other things you can try, reseating the ribbon cables on the buffer boards located running across either the top or bottom or both. If that doesn't do it, replace those boards and still no luck. Panel is bad.

Intermittent 3 inch green vertical line-5 inches from right side
it you have a repair skills you need to open the TV and make sure all the ribon connectors around the circuit boards are proper connected
and if all seems to be ok, the DG board will need to be replaced.

If you dont have any repair skills I would recommend you to take you TV to a repair shop since this is complex repair

We originally had a red stripe roughly 3" wide running vertically on the ride edge area of our Panasonic 52" Viera plasma tv.
