I need a wiring diagram for a kobalt 60 gallon air compressor

The box that houses the wiring comes with the motor already wired to it. The box has two posts empty both marked with ''line''. Do you need a 2 wire with ground 220 volt line or a 3 wire with ground 220 line?

If it's a 220 volt motor, hook l1 and l2 (220 volts) to the line terminals. If it's a'dual voltage' motor (120 or 220)and you want to use 120, hook 120 to the terminals marked 'line'. Make sure the motor is connected for the voltage you're using if it's dual voltage.

I have a brand new Kobalt 60 as well. No %&$^# wiring diagram on the machine nor online!!! I wired it the way I have read many experts (like the above) describe. I turned the switch to off position. I plugged it in for the 30 minute break-in, but it runs as soon as I plug it in. It is suppose to be OFF!

Is the switch bad or is it possible that the wiring is incorrect? Do I lug the monstrosity back to the store or not? Please advise.

My 60 gallon kolbalt was running and stop when it filled now it wont go o ever with the tank drain it spins free it does nothing no sounds either

When you say it does nothing do you mean the motor wont come on or the motor comes on and it wont build pressure? if the motor comes on, there are several possibilities:
1. The unloader valve is stuck open
2. The valves in the head are bad
3. The flywheel is loose
If the motor wont come on, the pressure switch is bad (which holds the unloader valve open)

What kind of oil for kobalt 221565 60 gallon

ordinary engine oil 10/30 or 16 oz synthetic oil ( lowes)
There are compressor oils on the market but as the most it has to do is lubricate the bearings and cylinders , engine oil is quite sufficient to do the job as it has all the additives needed to reduce wear , rust and inhibit moisture from the air compression
if it runs 12 hours a day 7 days a week then there will be a service schedule that you should be aware of but if it is just a home operation then every year or two would be adequate for a service

I need to convert mu Puma PPH 30-10 air compressor from 220 Volt to 110 Volt wiring, but I do not have the owners manual or a wiring diagram for it. The Motor is a GE

If this is a 3HP I don't think you can switch it. However there is usually a wiring diagram under the square box on the side of the motor.

I have a kobalt 60 gallon 3.7hp air compressor, I was using a dryer plug prevousily but I know longer have access to one, the motor says 208-240v is there a way to turn this into 110 or should I just get...

Ya you'll need another motor or a new 240v line. If it were a voltage switchable motor it would say so on the tag. I have an air compressor with a switchable motor and it says 120V/240V on the tag, theres a wire to remove inside the pressure switch to change the voltage.

We've purchased a Kobalt 60 Gallon, Volt 208-240, AMP 15.0 Air Compressor, Item #221565, Model #LLA3706056 without wiring diagram. Can you provide any assistance with this or refer me to a site that...

Your compressor is designed to be used in a shop situation (not portable) and is usually wired to a switch box similar to how your central air condenser is wired. It can however be wired with a short cord to a 220v plug. Your compressor motor is most likely wired to the pressure switch so all that you need do is to connect your pigtail from the pressure switch to the wall. You can buy all the parts that you will need at Lowes. You will notice that your motor has two wires going thru the contacts of the pressure switch. The inside cover of the switch will clue you in to wiring but if it does not have an illustration just match the black to black and white to white (110 v lines) and green to the ground screw at the pressure switch. Need to know how the wires go on a kobalt 230 volt air copressor

When looking at the switch it self, There will be 4 contacts. On the switch 2 will be labeled Line (Power in) and 2 will be labeled Motor (power out to motor) . Hook the black and white wires from the power cord to the line side (Either contact, it does not matter). Hook the 2 black and white wires from the motor to the contacts labeled Motor on the switch. The remaining 2 green wires (one from the motor and one from the cord) are to be grounded to the case on the switch.

Need to install power cord to terminals on 220 AC motor

Ok, read the data plate on the motor. Does it have a zero with a line straight through it. That means it's single phase. Also the plate may list two different voltages 110/220ac correct. On the inside of the panel of the box where the cord connects it will have a two diagrams. One marked low voltage, the other high voltage. You want 220ac so follow the high voltage diagram. Since it's single phase the green wire will go to a green screw in the box. The black wire from your cord is positive and the white negitive (actually neutral but shown on diagrams as negitive). The wire coming out of the motor will have numbers on it's casing. Follow the connection points on the diagram. Don't worry if you hook them backwards the motor just won't turn. It won't hurt anything.
