How do I open dismantle breville mixer Bem400

Undo two screws under the base which holds the entire top portion. The base and motor section should now separate. Remove the tilt lock from the tilt shaft, it needs to have two plastic tabs gently eased apart to slide off, there is one screw under here. There will now be three exposed philips screws on the underside with two more under plastic plugs nearer to the front of the mixer. Remove the two larger plugs to expose two more philips screws. These 5 screws hold the case together with a moulded clip at the front of the front of the mixer. ( Tip: a bead of hot glue on the plastic plug gives something to pull on with pliers, and not damage the plug)

How to use food grinder attachment

The mixer's planetary is not disconnected when the meat grinder is attached and continues to turn.

If the noise you hear only occurs when the grinder is in place, then the grinder may be assumed to be the cause. Consult the meat grinder's instructions and make sure that nothing is loose or overtightened.

When you use an attachment the mixer will still stir. You need to remove the beater when using an attachment.

I have a kitchen aid 5 at. Mixer when I use my grinder attachment I notice oil/ grease on shaft what is that caused from

Sounds like a problem with the bushing around the accessory drive. If still under guarantee take it back and get it sorted. If out of guarantee take it to an authorised service centre.

How to pull auger drive shaft for Hobart 4346 mixer-grinder?

The oil seal is the resistance you feel. take a soft mallet or hammer with a soft drift and gently but firmly tap the stub shaft and it will drive out the oil seal in the hopper direction. The lower skirt of the tapered bearing is what contacts the seal so go slow.
Worked for me.

Need to adjust clutch on hobart 4346 meat grinder how do you do it?

On the 4346 mixer/grinder the clutch can't be adjusted. It is a Moorse clutch and will need to be replaced. If you ate handy buy the rebuild kit for the bottom end from Hobart. It's not cheap but once it's done it will last for years. Hope this helps, Food luck

Kitchen Aid switching from mixer mode to grinder

There is no switch. When you have the accesory in the front, the beater section still moves. I suggest that you remove the beater so that there is less possibility for someone to get hurt.
