How do I download from camera to computer
SOURCE: Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 will not turn on.
I have this problem too. The bad news is that so far, I have tried all the prescribed remedies. I called Sony. Hector had me press the preview button to see if I could get the camera to show pictures on file. It did. Hector then told me to press the preview button again, to see if it would switch to camera. It did not. I also set the camera to ISO and got a message to turn off the camera and turn it back on which did not work. All of this said, Hector determined that the problem was in the lens mechanism, and I could mail the camera to Laredo TX or find a dealer local that can fix it. Laredo will const me 149.00 American Pesos. I have yet to determine how to remove the lens my self, as it may just need cleaned out. If I find out how, I will post it here.

You dont need the disc to download to computer.Take the card from the camera and put it into the card reader on your computer if one is fitted, if not you need one that goes into a USB slot
When the card is inserted into the reader a box will open on the screen with several options as to view images or download them.
I would also download Picasa 3 which puts your photos in date order and also has photo editing. This is a free download and is part of google.

Try using a separate card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.
Sony has the roughest firmware known to man for digital cameras. If running Windows XP or Vista you can simply connect the camera to the USB port and let the computer do the rest. Picbrige works the best for it downloads the quickest. Picbrige will be on your cameras list of choices to use for downloading
