Could be several things. Suggest you check the scart connection to the TV. Is it in the right socket? Is it fully plugged in? Have you selected the right input on the TV? Try a different Scart lead if you have one.
Make sure your using a cable box that is compatible with a high def tv, if your tuning a high def channel and your converter does not support high def, it will only play the sound, no vidio at all.
Change the channel down past 02 until you get to INPUT 1, AUX, INPUT 2, ect. One of these will show the picture. Check your wiring as well. The RCA (audio/video) jacks must go from the OUT connectors from the DVD to the IN connectors for Video or Input 1 or 2. I know this sounds remedial but I get them mixed up when in a hurry since it is usually dark and they are hard to see. Good luck and thanks for allowing me to help you. You have to make sure that the RCA cables are properly connected to the TV. Check the TV/Mode if it's set to AV1 (Audio/Video1) or AV2. You may check the TV remote to set it to AV1 or AV2.
From the DVD, the cable should be connected to OUT. And on the TV...video and audio should be connected to IN.
insert the dvd disc from other region then the region code error will flash on the tv screen, then press the on screen button on your remote twice, then search search for the clock and set it to 0:00:00 and enter and it will automatically play.
I hooked up a Pioneer DVD player to my TV and when I play a DVD the volume cannot be controlled by the TV. It just plays at one level and on the louder side. When I'm watching regular TV and the DVD player is on and playing a disc I start to hear the DVD soundtrack at the same time as the whatever I'm watching on TV. I should not be able to hear anything until I switch over to Video 1. Any suggestions?
