LG LDF6810ST won't power up there is power going to dishwasher
Went to start dishwasher. Hit power button and it wouldn't power up. There is power going to dishwasher. Later my wife said she smelt an electrical burning smell. So i disconnected power from unit.

The main control board is fried from what you've described, you will need to dismantle it and remove the board (there will likely be visible signs of damage if there was a burning smell) relatively easy and cheap to replace

The pump out motor starts because it detects some water leak and is a safety switch on a polystyrene float. Find the cause of the water leak (hose or hose clamp) dry the water and this should solve your problem
see this causes: Power from the house reset the c.breaker or blown fuse replace Door switch test for open or defective, since this is not o.k will not close the relais for start the m.motor see the diagram Wiring test for open, loose, broken, or burn wires Timer or selector switch test for open, defective, or dirty contact, clean, and tight
Do you own an LG LDF6810ST dishwasher? If not, please reply with the manufacturer name, model and serial number.
Are you saying that the display that normally shows the time is displaying an code of 2H? On an LG, that means 2 Hours, (120 minutes) and is not an error code.
On an LG with a symptom like this, I would arrage to replace the main processor card (PCB). You would be getting an error message if the motor (wash or drain) had failed.
ok ...first the average dishwasher will only heat the water 1 degree per mintue,,,now if your starting out with very cold water the dishes will never get clean check your water temp,,at start up..if you have 90 to a 100 degrees thats ok..that means we have problem in heater circuit...also turn up your jet dry level...keep me posted onthejob,,incase we have to look at heater circuit
If you are still having the problems you describe and especially is you are getting a leak from the lower left door panel, please provide the model number and the serial number.
There IS help available if you provide the info.
Please report back. Thanks!
This problem was aparently classified under the LG dishwasher / LDF6810ST section, I don't think this problem got looked at by KitchenAid gurus.
Were the problems resolved?
your model probably has a coating of a black tar-like substance on the inside of the inner door, which, by design, reduces noise. However, LG failed to notice the corrosive properties of the black tar-like layer. Your wiring harness is probably corroded by the soundproofing, and you will need a new inner door, wiring harness, and circuit board. LG extended my parts warranty because they know it's their fault, Call them at 1-800-243-0000. They will recommend an LG warranty repair certified technician in your area to come out and confirm this. They probably won't extend the warranty until after the tech checks out ur unit. However, labor will be your responsibility.
