How to jumper the rocker switch on patton space heater

If the light on your Patton space heater is on, but the heater will not start, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

First thing check see if you have power going to switch with a multimeter if you have one if there's power going in it switch need new switch probly you can us your multimeter to test switch on ohms

My electricity costs .08 per kilowatt hour so, when I run my 1500 watt space heater, it costs me a whopping .12 per hour to operate. I can afford 12 cents per hour, compared to oil at $3.50 per gallon and a burner that burns up to 3 gallons per hour.

If you locate and procure a switch, you can more than likely replace it yourself. Get a switch of like and you can see what you have to deal with, Always disconnect the electricity before you work on it Good Luck. check that the rocker switch inside isn't stuck, when the rocker swings it shuts the unit off. if it is full of dust it may be stuck. may just be bad.

These fans have a safey feature (sensor) that shuts the heater off if it is tipped over. It sounds like this component is not functioning correctly - may be set wrong and will not allow the heater to turn on unless you shake it to reset the sensor. If it is still under warranty return heater, if not call Patton and ask for help.
