TGA Mystere mobility scooter. Scooter drives perfectly but drains batteries within 5 minutes of driving. Have tested with brand new batteries but still does the same. Help!

hi Danny, are you refering to a back wheel ? sometimes they seize, the key that stops the wheels spinning can become jammed, put somevrelease agent like wd40 and gently tap the wheel upwards from behind ideally the scooter needs to be on its side so take care requires two people ..

hi , they are solvable, if you get bad connectors or the scooter has got wet then you need help cleaning the connectors...refitting making sure every connector is a tight fitting...

well there is another way of checking the battery's and thats by load testing them.
1)Fully charge the battery's
2) load test both batterys make sure they are reading close to the same
If both battery's check out good than ,The next step would be to check that brake assembly.
1) Put the scooter on blocks so when you drive it doest runaway
2)Take the rear wheel off that the brake side is on
3) Put the scooter in drive with some tape or rubber band to hold it in drive
4) Make sure theres nothing in the way if the scooter should fall
5)check your break if it abnormally hot
If it is in fact abnormally hot ,the you have a break problem.

Batteries do not provide a linear output during usage, but having it die out within a mile or so tells me that one of the battery cells is becoming weaker than the rest. If you're a handyman, you can save yourself a ton of money by replacing only the batteries (try interstate batteries) instead of going to the scooter store and purchasing the batteries and case.
