Setting the alarm day on timex model T786779J. I have set the time, but don't know how to set the day of the week. Can't change it from Tuesday.

Maybe the battery doesn't have enough power for the sounder.

Set multiple alarms. If any alarm is active,(picture of alarm hear) appears in time display A. Press MODE repeatedly until ALARM appears, followed by ALM1. Press STOP/RESET to select Alarm to set. B. Press SET/RECALL to set alarm. HOURS digits will flash. Press +/- to change HOURS. C. Press NEXT and +/- to set MINUTES, AM or PM (if primary time display is in 12-hour format), DAILY, WKDAYS, WKENDS, or day of the week (weekly alarm). D. Press DONE to exit. E. Press +/- to set different Alarm. Set as above. F. In Alarm mode, press START/SPLIT to turn Alarm ON or OFF. TIP: Alarms apply to selected Time Zone of watch display. My watch has model number 504-tsk085, labeled Timex 1440 Sports, and Timex provides the incorrect manual for it online. I wrote these instructions after careful experiment:

Upper left button: press to switch to a stopwatch, or...

Press and hold to enter alarm setting mode. Once flashing press again to enter time/date setting mode.
-- you can only do one or the other without exiting the setting
mode (time or alarm set).
- within the setting mode you use the two right side buttons
in obvious ways to set times/dates
Exit setting mode by pressing upper left again

Lower left button: light
Upper right button (when not setting time): reveal date while pressed

Lower right button (when not setting time): reveal alarm time while pressed.

ALSO: WHILE lower right button is pressed you can change alarm
on/off and chime on/off through the four possible settings by
secondarily pressing the upper right button repeatedly.

it can only set by turning the time for 24 hour using the crown the day of the week changes every 3 AM, i hope i had helped you.

Your watch should have a "mode" button (often at 8 o'clock) and this enters the settings menu so that you can change them. keep pressing the mode button until you reach the setting you want to change.


You should be able to find a setting that says something like "24". Experiment with the remaining buttons to change the setting. The display should change to "12".

Press the mode button to find the setting for the alarm (Often abbreviated to "AL" or "ALM"?).Again experiment with the buttons to either remove the alarm or or change it form "ON" to "OFF".

Changing the values of the setting is often done by pressing the 4 O'clock button but if this does not work, try the one at 2 O'clock.

You are very observant! Timex watches don't have a way to adjust the day.
However, if you turn the hands clockwise you will see the day advance.
So, heres the secret, follow exactly:
1. Turn the hands until the day of the week shows the day before. If today is Wednesday then turn the hands until the watch shows Tuesday
2 Adjust the date to the day before. If today is the 17th then adjust it to the 16th
3. Now pull the crown all the out and and advance the hands until the date changes to the correct date, 17 in this example. This happens at midnight. Continue the movement in a clockwise direction for a few more hours and you should see the day change to the correct day.
4. Now continue to move in a clockwise direction until you have the current time. Remember that your date/day changed at midnight so if the current time is after lunch(noon) you must continue past noon to get to the correct time. If you don't do this correctly your date will change every day at noon instead of midnight.

1. press and hold the "set" button for two seconds.

2. Use the "advance" button to reach the correct hour.

3. Press the "mode" button, followed by the "advance" button to set the minutes on your Timex Ironman.

4. Repeat the procedure of pressing the "mode" and "advance" buttons to set the month, date, year and day of week.

5. When you are finished setting the time and date, press the "set" button to save.

Setting an Alarm

1. Begin by pressing the "mode" button until the alarm screen appears.

2. Press the "set" button and use the "advance" button to set the hour for your alarm.

3. Repeat the same procedure to set minutes and seconds for your alarm.

4. When you have finished setting the alarm, press the "set" button, followed by "advance" save and activate your alarm.

5. When you alarm sounds, you can deactivate it by pressing any button on the watch.

Enter your watch type in the search box and click on "search"

To change between 12 & 24 hour display, press the mode button (bottom left) and then the bottom right button to change format. Press mode until normal display is achieved.
