Power surge, and pad won't work

There was a power surge in my home a couple of weeks ago and my oven touch pad blinks and does not respond. I tried disconnecting the ribbon, and looked for a fuse, but it still malfunctions. Do I need a new pad, or touch screen?

Oven is two weeks old. Town had a power outage we reset at breaker but still just beeps once and nothing happens

power outages cause power surges when the power comes back on
this surge generally manages to fry the power/control board
I suggest that you get the services of the service centre to come out and check it out.

I try to set the clock on the oven but pressing the CLOCK touch pad or the TIME-TEMP pad has no affect. It is completely nonresponsive.

It sound like the board is faulty, its quite common after power surges can cause damage to small circuit boards like clocks, I would recommend changing it as the clock will also provide timing for switch on at a set time cook for time as well.

Wolf dual fuel range keeps beeping after a power surge. Can not get anything on the control panel to respond.

Remove power for a few minutes...plug back in to see if it responds.
If control panel still doesn't respond...it may be time for home visit by repair guy.

That control panel is the "brains" of the unit...power surge may have fried it.

I have a code on the panel of my upper oven. The code is "FO". I cannot get the oven to respond to any of the touch commands on the panel.

Touch the CLEAR/OFF pad. Allow the oven to cool for one hour. Put the oven back into operation.

Disconnect all power to the oven for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect power.

If problem continues you may have a shorted key panel switch and may need to replace the Control board

Old Magic Chef wall oven (model 9875-5XRB), constantly beeps and displays the F1 error code. I have replaced the touch pad once before. Is that the only solution?

Does anyone know the answer? This was posted in October 2010! I ran the self clean too about a week ago. But we had a bunch of power outages last night. Today my oven has taken to beeping and flashing the F1 code. It is almost the same Model number. they wrote 9875XRB (not 5XRB) ...

My DACOR + ECS 130 covection oven light relay keeps clicking.....

I have the same problem and sent an e-mail to DACOR. A James Carlos responded and advised that DACOR could not provide DYI info because of liability problems, pure BS in my opinion. I've had problems with a DACOR microwave (manuf. by Sharp), my DACOR wall oven Model ECS103 and my DACOR Raised Vent system and told Mr. Carlos so. I don't know how to fix the blinking oven light other than cutting power at the circuit breaker panel or removing the two light bulbs which other have advised but suspect a new front control panel is required. If you find a fix, please advise me at [email protected]. I think DACOR products are overpriced and junk.

F1 error/touch panel not working on GE Monogram Dual Oven

Usually, the F1 means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be canceled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

I recommend a service call for this repair.

Dacor ECS230 Wall Oven Control Panel Time functions not working

Try turning the power off at the breaker for 12 hours.

I had the same problem, tried turning the power off for a few minutes but that did not fix the problem.

Leaving the power off overnight seems to have fixed it.
