Its a ps4 so it comes with a hdmi cable. Place the hdmi cable into the back of the ps4 and put the other end into a hdmi input
on the TV . Don't know the TV but usually there are a number of HDMI input ports on most modern tv's.
Then switch tv source to HDMI .
Happy gaming Phillip
you will have to plug the usb cable into the controller and into the front of the PS4 and then charge the controller by pressing the power button on ps4. The controller has to be paired to the ps4. The manual that came with the ps4 should go into it in more detail.

you should have several kinds of inputs options on TV .If you have a surround audio receiver .Simply go direct to receiver on any available input .If using diect to TV , use any available input on TV .More likely VIDEO 1 or 2 (game or camera input)on front or side of flat panel
SOURCE: Actually having trouble hooking up
First off what kind of connection are you using from the WII to the tv? Also what kind of connection for the dvd/vcr? What is not working when you plug it in. You should just plug it in then go the appropriate input of the television. If you give the make and model of your tv I can better assist you. This link should give you a lot of helpful information for hooking up the wii, the links below are for the various types of connections as well:

SOURCE: flat screen tv,,,,trying to hook
there is nothing programmed in, you must do this first. Also have a good tuner or direct tv operates off of different channels it must be hooked up and on first and then programmed if you are trying that way, or use input jacks or HDMI if capable

May or may not be compatible---try what connections the set has to see---the owner manual for the set should have the info you need.
