My power light is on but, the display is blank and the humidifier is not turning on. What is/could be the issue? I have Essick Air model number 4D7300

Motors humming are indicative of the start / run capacitor failing or the motor shaft is sticking. Get the the motor and see if it spins freely? It may need lubrication or the capacitor replacing. The purpose of the capacitor is to give the motor a jolt to get it going.

You may it set too high. Try turning the temp dial down

I am battling the same trouble with this. I have re-booted the unit several times, and it is not a panacea. I am currently working on it, and will report here my findings.

Try adding a pinch of salt into the water. filtered water does not humidify as good.
