My 99 escort hes a big plug going into the alternator with many wires. It also has a large wire bolted onto the alternator. I want to know where the single wire plug goes into the alt.

Did you replace the Alternator ? The standard generator provides 95 amps, Coupe, and 75 amps, Sedan and Wagon, of direct current to charge the vehicle battery. It has an integral voltage regulator. Maybe they gave you the one !

Oil to gas ratio for jonsered strimmer

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
It actually depends on the age of the unit. Anything within the last 5 years is 50 - 1. (Air quality standards!) Before that 40 - 1 and in the year 2000 it was 32 - 1.
Let me just say that running a unit with a 50 - 1 fuel mixture ratio leaves no room for error in the ability of the mixed oil to lubricate the engine and the engine piston will wear quicker than and engine with a higher ratio oil 32 -1. (Fact manufacturers don't want anyone to know!)

This on line calculator is great for computing mixtures with the exact quantities:
http://www.csgnetwork.com/oilfuelcalc.html

As far as what 2 cycle oil to use.... pick one. They ALL have to meet the same quality standards to even be called 2 cycle oil. Extensive testing has shown that no matter the mixture ratios form 32 - to 50 -1 they all eventually form carbon on the top of the piston. It was noted that carbon on the piston forms faster at 32 - 1 than it does at 50 - 1. (For what that is worth.)

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

the front of hte engine faces the passenger side fender. The tensioner is an automatic tensioner. You put a 1/2 socket in the square hole to rotate it to relieve tension and take the belt off.

here's escort, tempo similar

Crown Vic Fuel Line

I do not recommend doing this.
a 1/4 inch line has a .0491 square inch hole.
a 5/16 inch line has a .0767 square inch hole.
This would result in lowering the flow capacity of the line by over 30%.

You can possibly starve the engine of fuel causing the engine to run lean, which can result in overheating and even worse melting the tops of your pistons in the engine.

Most good automotive stores have many types of brake line and fuel line fittings and adapters you can purchase.

Good luck with your project!

How to change front driver side 2004 g35 coupe marker light

Just pop out the side marker from where the marker meets the fender well and push outward on the side marker. It has a metal clip retaining it to the bumper.

This entry was in January, most likely you figured it out already.

How to get the square root using a ti-30xa calculator?

Come on now....there are dedicated "square" and "square root" keys on the TI-30XA....

Enter your number e.g. 4, then press the "root x" key to get 2...

Press "x squared" key to get the square of 2 = 4

There's the even more useful "y to the power x" key and it's inverse "xth root of y" key.

E.g. Enter 2, then press the "y to the power x" key, then 5, then =, answer is 32 (2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2). Starting with 32, pres 2nd then the "y to the power x" key, then 5, then =, answer is 2, the 5th root of 32....
