Thank you for including model number of product.
-One confusing part of ET104CP 24-hour timer is that event1 is ON and event2 is OFF and event3 is ON, and event4 is OFF etc.
-Another confusing part is that on-line manual says: "Refer to programming instructions on time switch door."
-So if timer door has gotten wet or paper has aged, then key instructions are missing unless you have new timer in front of you.
-Last confusing part can be selector switches.
To program timer, selectors are set to Manual and RUN
To operate timer programs, selectors are set to AUTO and RUN
1) Manual for product appears below:
http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/files/intermatic/products/instructions/timers/et104c%20-%20english.ashx2) According to manual, you put timer in Manual and RUN and then press and hold reset button, and then event1 will display.
Guessing at this point, press hour and minute button to set event1 ON
Press event button again to display event2, and then press hour and minute
Make sure events do not conflict with each other or timer will not operate
3) If instructions in #2 above are not correct, then add a comment and write out what is printed on your timer door, I can work alongside you to help decipher
4) If timer instructions on door panel have gotten wet and are unreadable, then contact Intermatic directly.
