Polar F4 monitor is reading about 30bpm less than actual

My wife's Polar F4 monitor is reading about 30bpm less than the actual rate. Tried my F6 using the same chest strap and it showed a resting HR of 68. The F4 displayed a resting HR of 39. Btw, just replaced the battery too.

Check that the case back is on the right way. A spring sticking out of the watch mech needs to line up with a hole in the white sticker on the inside of the case back, I think this is the receiver aerial.

This happened to me, I think it happens when theres not enough contact with skin and monitor, I put more water onto my skin and the heart rate monitor and it sorted th eproblem

I can't get my Polar F4 to read my heart rate. I wet the transmitter and it still won't read my heart rate.
