ADJUST OVEN FLAME LEVEL: Normally, thermostats are calibrated by pulling the oven's thermostat knob off, turning the knob over and adjusting the calibration ring on the back. If your oven doesn't have a calibration ring you may need to replace the thermostat. The reason for my free advice is GOD is good!

Frigidaire PLEB30T8CCB Double wall oven - heating to temp, but not maintaining.

Your wiring diagram and parts schematics are here in the link below. Normally the bottom element does glow read hot after a couple of minutes. Broil elements last a lot longer because they aren't used as much. There is only one Control Board. If I was guessing, I would say the temperature sensor is at fault. Elements either work, or they don't, but you can easily test continuity with a meter. Many parts are discontinued.

Neff U1ACE2HN0B/01. Why is grill heating erratic?

Hi ,this is quite normal to see the grill element going on an off, in your oven as this is thermostatically controlled to ensure an even grill temperature for your food, once the grill area has reached the set temperature you selected, the element will switch off for a set period. until the air temperature goes below the setting. then switches back on again for a set time. it is easier to notice this action when the grill is on a low setting compared to a hot setting on hot settings you may see the element switching on and off more rapidly or staying on longer, than on low settings.
the switching on and off does not effect the average temperature in the oven so your food is still being grilled by residual heat from the grill element when is has switched to off for a while.

This system is used as it is easier to control and more effective to build the ovens to switch on and off rather than controlling the power level to the element. this activity does not mean your oven is defective or that any parts need replacing.

if you feel that your food is not being cooked efficiently then I would consider a specialist check the oven or give it an overhaul or service if needed.

My Maytag MGR5750ADW oven will take forever to preheat. It does get hot, but the preheat light takes a very long time to go out. Food takes much longer to cook as the oven does not seem to get up to temp.

When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out. You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results. If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. To determine if the heating element is burned out, watch the part testing video at the bottom of this page. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component. When the temperature is consistent but too high or too low, it could be one of several different things. First check to see if the thermostat sensing bulb has come loose from its holder. It could be lying on the floor of the oven or resting on the heating element. This would cause the oven to not heat correctly. If the thermostat bulb is not dislodged, it's likely that the thermostat or sensor is either mis-calibrated or defective. Electronic ovens with a digital display use a sensor to monitor oven temperature. To solve temperature problems for these models, you may need to replace the sensor. On some digital-display models, you can calibrate the temperature using the key pad. See your operator's manual for details. The oven wont get hot, it will warm up and the broiler seems to get hot??

To determine if the heating element is burned out, you will have to test the element for resistance across the 2 ends , with the meter set on the 200 scale if you get a good reading like 000 it would indicate that the part may be ok but if yoiu get a reading of a 01 or a 1 or lomething like this it would indicate tha part is bad then you need to replace it

    i recommend u to try the following routine to sort out this problem
  • Check timer and clock settings
  • Reseat the element
  • Test the element
  • Test the element connectors
  • Test the oven temperature control
  • Test the oven selector control
  • Recalibrate the temperature control
