How do I open dismantle breville mixer Bem400

Undo two screws under the base which holds the entire top portion. The base and motor section should now separate. Remove the tilt lock from the tilt shaft, it needs to have two plastic tabs gently eased apart to slide off, there is one screw under here. There will now be three exposed philips screws on the underside with two more under plastic plugs nearer to the front of the mixer. Remove the two larger plugs to expose two more philips screws. These 5 screws hold the case together with a moulded clip at the front of the front of the mixer. ( Tip: a bead of hot glue on the plastic plug gives something to pull on with pliers, and not damage the plug)

Philips food mixer HR2970/C : My elderly grandparents brought a Philips food mixer HR2970/C many years ago (possibly 1970/80's) & after a long period of unuse, have now started to use it again....

I believe this product is much older than any of the manuals that Philips currently makes available on their website. Suggest you try sending a note to their customer service. Contact information here:

How do I remove the top of mixer to replace speed control lever?

In quick terms, first unplug it then remove the head. Take off the band, this is where the two halves join. Undo any screws holding the halves together. Remove the pin holding the planetary in place. Remove the trim disc. The planetary assembly lifts out but you may need to work around it carefully lifting it a little at a time.

How do you take apart the KitchenAid Mixer K5SS to get at the gears? The motor runs but the beater doesn't go around. I have an exploded view, but it isn't clear how to begin disassembling the planetary.
