SOURCE: Record off the tv.

Hi there and welcome to FixYa.

Hmmm. Ok, I need to know a few things. Does your TV have an RF out jack? Do you have a VCR? And last but not least...does your Jazzy have an RCA type video input jack?

Let me know and depending on your answers, I have a workaround you can use.

Rob

Try checking your manuel for specifically named memory card, sometimes certain cameras can only take certain memory card formats.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how long should it take to format a 8GB sd card in a Jazz camcorder

okay I had the same problem. Turns out you really have to push the SD card in pretty hard. It should be flush with the base (as in not sticking out at all). Did that worked like a charm.

How can i take the case apart without damaging it?

Most if not all remotes nowadays are clipped together. Sometimes there is a single screw in the battery compartment you remove 1st. Some have a cover on the IR that needs prising off (Sky remotes). You need a tool called a Spudger to prise the two halves apart. You have to identify which is the inner and which is the outer part and it is difficult to do without damaging it if you have never done it before.

Worth a try - remove batts and SD card. let it sit for 15 min, then install new batts and the SD card. One never knows what a cold boot can do!

When can I purchase a memory card for the Jazz DVX50?

You can purchase an SD card any time you want, the DVX50 supports SDHC cards but will not support any card over 8GB. I suggest you take the camcorder to Best Buy so you can make sure you are getting the right SD card.

Hello
Remove the SD card from your camera and insert it into a memory card reader that is able to read SD cards. From there you can format your SD card and make it usable again.
Good Luck, hope it helps, if so do rate the solution

Jazz DV151 camcorder didn't come with an owner's manual

You're totally right!

The button with the red circle and a small line through it is the on/off button. The button underneath it with the garbage can is the delete button, the red button in the middle is the record button, and the four buttons around it are the direction keys, and the button with the triangle/square is the play/stop button, so when you're reviewing clips, you can stop and start them.

I hope that helps!
