32 Inch emerson wants to switch to dvd while in tv or hdmi mode automaticly and have to unplug to get it to return

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

There are two HDMI inputs on your TV, so, depending on which input the DVD player is plugged into, HDMI 1 or 2 , that's the one you choose. The menu should list the inputs as HDMI 1 and HDMI 2.

Check and replace its main power regulator board. It is not working. Might be faulty.

Unless the tv has a VGA input, or the laptop has a HDMI output, I am afraid you are going through too many conversions to make this work.

On your Xbox go to System -> Console Settings --> Display -> HDTV settings, and choose a different resolution that you can use with your TV.

Check your settings for digital video input in your menu. You may need to switch your video input for the HDMI to work properly.

I have same problem sound but no picture, have tried it on 2 different tv's but no luck, have tried 2 different hdmi leads (both Bush 26602bu) but no luck. I even thought it was the port on my tv but it works fine with another dvd player and the same lead. I even returned the dvd player and exchanged it, still the same... It's driving me nuts...

get a splitter switch if you can find one .it will allow 2 devices ,and you can select which one you want.

Mine stayed in stanby mode and all I had to do was to switch the plug to a different outlet. The power strip it was on wasn't providing enough power. It worked fine for a month before I had a problem.

I have the same issue with this player hooked up to a Samsung 58 inch 1080p plasma.
