SOURCE: Mitsubishi VS-50607 Won't Turn On

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source.

Yes,but first it is necessary to repair the problem = replace
both STK392-570 IC's.............Then use remote to adjust
convergence............."inside the tv" is called servicer menu = adjust after repair is complete. You can expect to replace IC's
every five years or so.......................T.

PS Try to match your problem thread model # to actual model #
ie. VS-5043 does not match WS-65909........T.

SOURCE: vs 4561 weak picture

Good Day, Techwanab;

Look for this to be your problem: CHECK FOR OPEN L2C50 PART #325C146030 ON THE SIGNAL PCB, OR BAD CONNECTIONS AND LEAKY CAPS IN THAT AREA.

Hope this was helpful and not too late.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Blue Convergence chip will not adjust

In the Convergence Mode there are three main Functions (Categories). •Pressing "6" activates CONV MISC •Pressing "5" activates COARSE CONV •Pressing "4" activates FINE CONV
I don't know if this will help, sounds like you already know about the convergence tuning.

We have a 52 inch rear projection Mitsubishi not sure of the model number and the picture is starting to go blurry with reds and greens at the bottom of the screen

Here is another similar problem with a Mitsubishi Rear Proj. TV and it has some things to try and an estimate if that is the problem.

"Cost of convergence repair is always around $400"

http://en.allexperts.com/q/TV-VCR-Stereo-1749/Mitsubishi-WS55511-Projection-TV-1.htm

You could also try messing around in the menu for convergence adjustments. Usually it will let you adjust at 8 points on the screen.

Vs-45607 was a hand me down and did not come with a remote. the picture has very fast rolling vertical lines........Help!

Typically you can open the back case and you will see two screws, one for vertical scroll and one for horizontal scroll. with a rubber head flat head you can adjust this. Please be advised this is very dangerous and has high voltage. Please get a tech to look at this, he must be familiar with this TV.

No problem==somebody gave me mitsubishi-vs-6043 tv and i need to

When new that unit sold for around $2000 and $3000. But that is an older unit and you'd be lucky to get $500 for it now. It was manufactured in 1996 making it 13 years old.

Mits m#vs-5007r convergence not inline

If you cant adjust it in . you most likely have a resistor on the convergence board that is slightly off. There will be 10 or 12 resistors in a row near the stks measure them and if they are off more then .3ohms replace it good luck.

Mitsubishi VS 50607 Problems

Vertical output IC most likely needs to be re-solderd. However this model is famous for the CRT leaking coolant in the area of the Vertical output IC and corroding the solder. Check for a sticky residule near the Vertical IC indicating a leaky CRT seal.
