Before you pull it apart, put a couple of drops of sewing machine oil in the air inlet before attaching the air hose
they work from a sliding piston in a cylinder and if an oiler in the air line is not used, will dry out and the piston will not slide easily
other than that the end unscrews from the cylinder

SOURCE: Air compressor motor stalls under pressure

this sounds like a bad pressure switch.if the unit is not shutting off at the same pressure each time this would be the cause.2 if the pressure is not unloading the air pressure on the compressor side of the unit it will cause the unit to struggle when it starts a cycle because the piston is under a load .how this works is say the unit starts from 0 psi when it get to the desired pressure you have it set on the unit kicks off . the other adjustment most units have on them is what pressure to cycle back on.so when the unit reaches say 100 pounds ,it kicks off and bleeds the air off the compressor side so when it starts back up it wont start up with pressure on the piston.

SOURCE: kobalt air compressor will not go above 80PSI

if this is an older or much used unit, cylinder/piston may be worn, unable to push higher psi, which would explain no leaks. if newer unit, seems like regulator unit/valve faulty

Regulator will not exceed 90 psi.

Nicholas:
It is possible to replace the regulator with a higher capacity regulator. Almost all air tools warn against using more than 90 PSI, and I think that your regulator is limited to 90 PSI for safety reasons... (but why on a compressor capable of 150 PSI I don't know). If you need more pressure, buy a replacement regulator (doesn't have to be Sears) and use a 1/4 inch nipple or a short length of air hose to connect it to your compressor.

I have a 1 year old oil free P/C C2002 WKR compressor that allows the tank to pressurize but the tank pressure guage doesn't move at all. The knob to regulate the output air pressure regulates the...

Hi stephengta2...
I suspect that the gauge is faulty...or plugged with trash..check it, if it is not plugged with trash, then it is defective.
You may need to pull the air regulator apart, it could also have some trash in it causing it to react slowly to your adjustments...you can try tapping on it with a hammer on the sides and bottom...sometimes the needle sticks because of moisture in the system..if cleaning and repairing the air regulator did not work...then replace it also.

On my 1996 ss impala what low side pressure should I see on the a/c with the system running

It all depends on the outside (ambient) air temperature. Your A/C low pressure switch is designed to turn the compressor off at 24 Psi. and turn it back on at 45 Psi. Most systems will normally run at between 25 and 40 Psi when the system is running on HIGH blower and "MAX" or "RECIRCULATE". A system that is fully charged may run at 25 Psi when the ambient temperature is 75 Deg. (F) and may run at 40 Psi when the ambient temperature is at 90 Deg. (F). (it can be even higher if ambient temperatures are higher than 90 Degrees.)

To properly diagnose a malfunctioning A/C system, the HIGH side pressure must also be checked. Restrictions in the system can make the low side pressure look normal while the high side pressure is high enough to blow hoses apart. (400+ Psi.)

My chisel is broken from top and bottom while breaking m30 concrete, why this happens.

Chisels are made of very hard steel. If you put any sideways pressure on them it will break .or jam them under reobar it will break.

Adjusting airpresure

There is nothing on a nailer to adjust the air pressure. You have to do it at the pressure regulator. It is feasable to mount a regulator at the gun but more likely it's on the compressor. Most nail guns are rated for 90 to 120 psi. Set your regulator to hold the hose pressure between 90 and 100 psi. Using higher pressure to set the nail will ruin your nailer. Use the depth adjustment on the gun to set how far the nail is driven.

Hammer not moving back

Do you mean with a load on it. or without? In other words, while the air hammer is pointed downward, if you put (example, the chisel tip) against a surface to be cut/hammered/etc., it doesn't work? Because, under normal circumstances, it won't work while pointed downward unless the chisel tip is actually against something. If it's doing that under load, though, have you checked the chisel you're using? If the shaft of the chisel is broken or marred, it may not be smoothly traveling the way it should. If it's okay, you likely have a broken piston inside.

I have a small central pneumatic air compressor it is 2hp 8 gallonwith a 90 psi air flow.I bought a cheap small air drill and 3/8 air ratchet. neither will run. They run slow

Most of the time the air flow rating for the air tools you are trying to use are rated higher than your unit, Check the lable on the tools and compare to your compressor, otherwise you have have some type of restriction in the air line or within the tool itself. Hope this helps.
