My paslode IM250A when charging flashes red and green back and forth is that a bad battery

The battery may be the culprit but more common is the fan motor. When the fan motor fails it will alternate red/green. The part is pretty expensive and is fairly involved to replace if you are not familiar with the tool.

You need to remove the head cap, unplug the spark and fan wires, twist the fan assembly a few degrees to the left and it will lift straight out of the tool. Carefully remove the fan blade by loosening the tiny torx screw located on the side of the fan shaft being careful not to bend the fins.
Release the retainer on the top of the motor holding it in, unplug the motor wires and then slide it out.
Inside the motor housing is a plastic bushing that needs to be removed and replaced (part will come with the new motor).

My paslode im250 will not punch pin home

The Paslode gas powered tools need to be thoroughly disassembled, cleaned, and lubed periodically. If you are running the correct gauge nails (16 gauge, straight finish nails for the IM250 and angled for the IM250A) and the tool appears to be working correctly then this is probably what it needs. I do quite a few of them here at my shop and it is the most common problem.

Paslode IM250A 900600 fan runs all the time. Gun works fine but the fan wears the battery down faster

You have a stuck head switch - it is part of a circuit assembly (#89), it may be the actuator (#66) causing it.
