I need the Service Password for Vidikron DLP Model 30 projector in order to reset lamp timer
I recently replaced lamp in my vidikron model 30 dlp projector and manual says to reset timer. however when i go to osd service menu it asks for password. the projector came with the home when i purchased it and the best i can tell the company that installed it is no longer in business. what option do i have for resetting the lamp timer if i don't have the service password. is there a default password? i don't want to reset the whole system as i'll have no clue how to reconfigure it

This is usually accessed from the projector's main menu. Use your remote by pressing 'MENU'. Navigate around each menu option until you find something referring to 'RESET'. (ie: reset lamp, reset, reset to zero)
No remote? - You'd have to use the onboard projector buttons.
this model has a firmware issue, an update is necessary to get the lamp timer reset option. This is a expert job, you need the right image file and DLP composer software V4.2 Lite.
if it's the lamp led that is orange, turn off the projector for a minute and try it again. if the lamp goes out and the orange led comes on again, replace the lamp and reset the lamp timer.
