My machine is not running ,the motor sounds like it ok but the bobbin is not moving? Thank you It is a Singer 3116 Simple

Move bobbin spindle to right, rotate handwheel a turn or two and move bobbin spindle back to left position. Try handwheel again.

the clutch is out. that allows you to wind a bobbin. take it out of bobbin mode and put it in sew mode (clutch in)

Oil the top of the needle bar very lightly and the moving parts of the takeup lever, if you still have it then I would suggect taking it in for a check before it costs a lot of money

You need a Singer Class 66 plastic bobbin for that machine.

Hi,
It sounds like the bobbin winder is engaged. On the top of the machine on the right hand side is a spindle that you can put your bobbin on to wind it. Make sure this spindle is pushed to the left when you want to sew and pushed to the right when you want to wind a bobbin.
