My Kenmore Humidifier 15420 has a code of "cf" what does it mean?

Depending on your model, the CF could mean the filter needs to be changed or that the unit needs to be reset. If your model doesn't have a reset button, you can unplug the unit from the outlet for 5 minutes.

I have a code E-35

Just so you know there is a recall on this and may end up with a new one... read below
Respironics, the manufacturer of the Respironics REMstar Heated Humidifier, has received complaints of failures of the AC inlet connector on the REMstar Heated Humidifiers manufactured between December 2001 and April 2003. A small number of these failures have resulted in thermal damage to the humidifier enclosure, and there is a remote possibility that a thermal failure could result in the ignition of materials external to the device. For this reason, Respironics is asking that you remove the humidifier from its power source. You may continue using your CPAP device.

Respironics has decided to take voluntary action to mitigate the risk of failure. This action includes only the model 1005792, U1005792, R1005792, SC1005792, AC1005792, and 1007861.
This voluntary action is classified as a medical device recall, and is being conducted with the knowledge of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

I have one of these and I have no clue how it works, sometimes the water reserve catches water.. does that mean its dehumidifying? What are some of the settings I should put it on?

Yes, that means it's working, Basically, the lower the humidity setting, the more moisture it removes from the household air. The higher the setting, the less it will remove and run less, too. Once the water reservoir or "bucket" as most folks call it, is full the unit will shut off automatically and the bucket FULL light will come on. You will need to remove the bucket from the front of the unit and empty it (I prefer emptying it in the bath tub or shower). Then carefully replace it the unit, so that it triggers the safety switch and the FULL light goes out and the unit will restart automatically, if necessary.

You didn't list the model number of your Danby Dehumidifier. But all Danby units work pretty much the same. To help you further I have included a link to the Owners Manual for the Danby DDR25E (this also covers 2 other models) that you can download and print for future reference. Read it thoroughly and become familiar with it's operation and the required Routine Maintenance.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Water flow ok to side valve. no waer flow to top of 1042-l unit. valve extremely hot. is there an expert service maitenance available in montreal

Replacing this solinoid valve is not hard to do. This is something the homeowner can accomplished with small hand tools. Turn power off at the furnace and the inlet water off at the saddle valve.Remove the water line at the valve and the connector exiting the valve. Remove the two screws and the valve is off the unit. Armed with the make and model number of the unit goggle the manufacture with the model number and order your replacement valve on-line. Install the new valve opposite of which the old valve was removed or per manufactures instructions that may come with the new valve you orderd.

Carrier heatpump model 25hba324a300 unit will not supply heat.outside unit constantly comes on and goes off .works well in a/c mode.

may be cycling on high pressure switch. is your filter clean? also that is a 13 SEER unit was the indoor unit replaced at the same time? if not it may not be compatible causing higher than rated pressures. if the ac is working then i would rule out it being a low pressure problem

Kenmore HW305 Humidifier putting out hot steam...Is that normal?

this is a steam and misting type humidifier, the water tanks will not heat up, the heating element is internal to the unit, just make sure you clean it periodically and I would suggest having a fan asst to help move the humidification around the room, hope that helps

Aprilaire 700 problem

I can't exactly recall--once I fixed it, I erased it from my memory! However, you need to have power off to check continuity; at least on my meters I'll blow its little internal fuse if there is any voltage. As I recall, one of the main indicators for switch failure was that the switch failed to click/engage. Hope this helps. I was able to contact their tech services to get advice.
