SOURCE: Frigidaire FGF326ASA gas oven

after pricing the 2 ignitors and a dual saftey valve (could be all) the best price for all is around $225.or more. Doing the labor myself. Im going to just buy another stove. And I think Ill get one with a pilot light(cheaper to fix) and no self cleaning(dont use much anyway if you are carefull with spills. Price? about $270-370. free del.. and haul off. ibojuan40

SOURCE: Gas oven igniter glows, but oven does not turn on.

That is correct. You will have to check if the valve needs replacement or if there is power being sent to the solenoid for the valve. There must be just a connection problem.

SOURCE: Oven ignitor glows bright red, but oven will not

our ignitor glowed but still was not working right. it has to get to a certain temp before the gas valve will open. try changing it out. fairly inexpensive.

Hello,

The problem with your oven is that ignitor is weak and not drawing enough amprage to open the gas valve, the gas you smell was since the ignitor does come on it allowed the gas valve to open a wee bit but since ignitor is weak it wont allow gas valve to open fully. I know you going to doubt that what i'm telling you is correct, i base my diagnosis on my 30 years experience as a appliance repair technician.Replace ignitor and enjoy your baked meal

Gas/pilot lights

Chances are that a little cleaning with a wire brush is all that is needed. When the ignitors get splattered repeatedly with grease they don't work as well. I would call the local hardware store and ask them who does this type of repair work in the area.

Ignition

If you smell gas, then check the ignitor circut first. A spark ignitor usually has a grey or orange wire, leading from the ignitor to the input circut. Try testing the terminal where the ignitor is powered, when the unit should be calling for ignition. If there is ample voltage to the ignitor, but it will not spark, shut off the power and the gas to the appliance and remove the pilot assembly. The ignitor will either unclamp or unscrew from it, and can now be replaced. Check to see if it is properly spaced (which it should be if undisturbed), or if any deposits are on it. Sometimes they can be properly spaced or cleaned to work once again.

Why won't my oven ignite? Vulcan model GC04c

i can get you the error code but dont have my manual at the time.a couple things to check.do you here the clicking sound of the ignitor that ignites the gas?when you installed the regulator are you sure its on right?you should see an arrow on the regulator body and it should be pointing to the oven.also you need 10 inches of water colum (gas pressure)with a propane system where as natural you need less, regardless ill be in touch.

My oven isn't warming up

can you verify the ignitor is working (ie: can you hear it sparking)?
1. If no, and you are absolutely sure there is not a buildup of propane inside the oven (or house for that matter), you can try lighting it with a match. If that works, you need to replace/reposition your ignitor.
2. If yes, do you smell propane after trying to light the oven?
A. If yes, STOP and get it fixed..
B. If no,
1. Check to see that your propane tank isn't empty?
2. Verify the regulator supplying the oven with propane is actually sending gas to the over (might need a repairman for this)
