SOURCE: when i insert cd to dvd/cd drive in toshiba qosmio f45, after 5 second dvd/cd drive auto-eject the cd

it might be because it can not read the disc.
is it a blank disc?
music disk?
can you give me more info please.

The DVD player is defective, cost wise it is best to just replace the player.

Toshiba qosmio f45 av411 laptop wont boot from windows xp disc trying to reformat the hard drive.

Providing the computer posts (shows an image when powered up), Enter the CMOS/BIOS by tapping the DELETE (DEL) key. Therein, make sure the optical drive (CD/DVD Drive) is set to boot before the hard drive (HDD). Look for something like boot order, etc.

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Toshiba qosmio f45 av412 system control panel (skinny upper bar bee twin two speakers ) doesn't work with windows 7 I got 2 hard drives. One with windows vista and other one with windows7. System control...

I assume you mean the volume bar.....if so its the wrong driver for Win 7

If its in a desktop ist simple you need to unscrew the back panel and then unscrew the side cd drive panels , remove the IDE cable from Scocket
