How many more times do you want the same query answered ?

In your camera's menu system there will be a heading 'Format'. Use that, and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to unlock a photo in camara

The protect function allows a user to protect a picture from accidental deletion. To unprotect a picture on your camera, scroll to the protected picture that you want to delete, then press the Menu button (the button to the right of the Play button.) Scroll down the menu and you should come to an option that allows you to Protect/Unprotect the picture. Since your picture is currently protected, deselect that option. You should then be able to delete the picture normally.

Alternatively, you could also format the memory card, however this deletes ALL photos and data you have on the memory card. If you are trying to completely clear the memory, this is the best way. After turning on your camera, simply press the Menu button, scroll to Setup, then scroll down to Format. Select Format, it will ask you if you want to format the memory card, or the camera's built-in memory. Format whichever one you want to clear, if you are using a memory card then your pictures are stored on the memory card. It will take a few seconds to format.

Hope this helps.

I accidentally "protected" all of

The instructions for protecting/unprotecting images are in the "Protecting images" section of the manual (page 98 in my copy).

The best way to delete all photos on a memory card is to format the memory card. This should be done each time you finish transferring your pictures to a computer, as FixYa is full of people asking how to retrieve pictures from cards that haven't been recently formatted. Refer to the "Formatting Memory Cards" section of the manual (page 22 in my copy).

If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

How do I delete all my pictures off of my samsung s760?

There are basically two ways to delete all the pictures on the card.
If you don't mind erasing all the data on the card, the best way to get rid of it is to format the card. Formatting flash cards (SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC, CF, Memory Stick pro or duo, etc) actually helps the cards last longer. To format the card, enter review mode (usually a button with an arrow pointing to the right) and press menu, navigate to format card and press enter / ok.
To just delete all pictures, enter review mode and press the delete button (usually looks like a trashcan). That should open single delete mode. Press delete again to open multi-delete mode.
Both directions should work on most common camera models (Sony, Canon, Nikon, Olympus, etc).
Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Canon sx10 when i put in a sd card card error comes on the screen i have tried new card makes no difference. [email protected]

I don't know if you are aware of an SD card having a protection lock on the side I'll give you a diagram for the proper positioning of this little switch. Also adding that all "New" memory cards need to be formatted to the camera they are being used in. Formatting prepares the surface to properly accept new picture files from your camera also after each download the memory card needs formatting. I'm talking formatting not the delete or delete all buttons, formatting option should be found in your camera set up menus, takes only a few seconds and you are good to go.

I have a canon powershot sd1300 and i need to delete ALL my pictures at once how do i do this?

The easiest way to delete all your pictures is to format it. If the pictures are in internal memory, format that. If they're on a memory card, format that.

Memory cards should be formatted each time you finish downloading the pictures from them.

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS Digital Camera keeps giving me a memory card error. The memory card is a 4gig PNY memory card (lower budget)

Make sure the slide switch on the side of the card is unlocked. Your camera may just want you to format the card in the camera. Download any pics from it first using a card reader if necessary.

Lost my canon powershot sx200is manuel; how can I get another copy----how do I delete pictures from camera? my camera is only about 30 days old.

Canon does not have the manual for download. Canon will provide you a new manual for a reasonable price. Go to Canon.com (or .ca) for ordering info.
Deleting pictures all at once on a memory card camera is called 'Format'. Be aware that format removes even locked (protected) pictures. Be CERTAIN your pictures have all downloaded before you format. Unplug the camera from the computer to 'Format'. The Canon software has a preferences setting for 'Delete pictures from camera', I THINK...
