It may be a factory default setting. Once it loses power to the thermostat it defaults back to the factory setting and you have to reprogram it to your setpoints.

One year old Amana ASZ 16 (replaced inside and outside units last year) - works fune until the last two weeks, now home at 5pm, reset the thermostat from 82 degrees to 76 or 77 to cool off house (which...

Sounds like the system is either over charged with freon or under sized. Call the same people back out ask for a supervisor to come out and check out the system any other company will charge you.

Thermostat resets itself to 85 degrees a couple hours after I set it to 74 degrees

To manually operate the thermostat set the system to cool and fan to auto then press the HOLD button one time then release, you will see the hold word on the screen after that up the UP or DOWN arrows is setting the desired temperature.

When I turn on my machine the needlehousing judders and stops at extreem left position and ERROR #1 comes up on screen

The temperature in the room the machine was at 28c and humidity was at 85%.

Switched aircon on and went out to dinner. Came back two/three hours later. Temperature was down to 23c and humidity to 30%.

Plugged machine back in and it worked straight off.

Seems the machine does not like high temp and high humidity.

The 2 AC fsnd turns on when the Engine temperarure hot. It receives the signal from ECU throught the Engin temperature sensor ( Coolant). Your case happens since the Engine Temp sensor went bad. At beginning the temp sensor can not produce any resistance just like open then ECU thinking engine hot turns on the Fan. When your engine ia about 85, it is a normal temp then the sensor could produce some resistance matching the look up tabel for the ECU, then the ECU turn off the Fan. Some pepople has it run all the way since the wire contact to the sensor was off. Replace the Engin Temp sensor to take care of the problem.
You have 2 temp sensors on top engine, one for your temp read out, one for the fan purpose. If you don't know which one, wait for your temp at 85 and the fan is stopping, then unplug one, imediately the fan goes on, that the one. Good luck.

Temp too high

lamgrimes9,
Welcome to Fizya.,

You said, your Oster wine refrig won't lower its temperature below 76 degrees. I have it for about 5 months, and it worked fine all this time with a setting of 50 degrees. Now it refuses to lower its temp. It reverts back to 76 everytime. Can someone give me any ideas about what is wrong? FYI Mine did not come with an owner's manual.

Sounds like the Thermostat is bad.

My appartment does not have cenral AC/heat, it has a GE cooling/heater unit in each room. You can set up low heat or high heat but it continues runing on until you manually stop it when is to hot. Is there...

the unit runs all the time because of the fan (ventilation motor)-but it is not working on cooling or heating all the time - The ventilation motor pushes the air from the room through the machine and when the termostat is reading that you set it up for cooler air or warm air it will turn on the air conditioning part or the heating part of the machine-it is very good system actually
