Cl031 is the sfaety retrace capacitor check DL030 an the HOT trans they are most likley blown as well. Usually if anything other than the Hot and DL030 are blown the entire deflection board will need replacement. Its also best to check all three of the CRT necks to be sure none are cracked and broken on the CRT necks . Unfortunately several designs of the deflection components had different parts although the deflection boards will usually interchnage bewteen the ITC222 chassis sets. The ITC222A will not interchange. www.tvrepairworld.com has replacement parts and boards and can also assist with part numbers that you require.

R47 resistor is blown on Neff S5453X0GB/07 control board. I can't make out the value as it is badly damaged - anyone know the correct value so that I can replace it (TY7 is blown as well!).

HI.We cannot really but identify the correct resistor value unless we can identify or determine the color coding on the resistor.Each color has a corresponding value and tolerance as well.If you can't indentify the color coding then you can refer to its diagram usually printed out on the side of the control board or near thecontrol board.We cannot but cannot give a guess value unless color coding is given.Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

Black Screen One resistor is found Blown inside BWB but value unknown ! Please help !

Depending on the resistor, the values for a resistor is color coded, meaning that there are a couple of lines of colors and each color line represents a value. Do a google on Resistor coloring chart and you might find your answer. If the resistor is a surface mount one and very tiny, you might be out of luck as these are too small for the manufacturer to print the part number on. Only the manufacturer has that part number and can be very hard for you to contact them about.

Have a 29 inch 5 or 6 yr old rca color tv lately we get a colored horizontal bar across the top of the screen and the other day we have fuzzy black lines across the entire screen

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the CRT phosphors, immediately turn down the brightness so the line is just barely visible. If the user controls do not have enough range, you will have to locate and adjust the master brightness or screen/G2 pots.

A single horizontal line means that you have lost vertical deflection. High voltage is most likely fine since there is something on the screen.

This could be due to:

Dirty service switch contacts. There is often a small switch located inside on the main board or perhaps accessible from the back. This is used during setup to set the color background levels. (On some sets, this is located on the CRT neck board and may be a jumper plug or other means of selecting service mode - not an actual switch.)

When moved to the 'service' position, it kills vertical deflection and video to the CRT. If the switch somehow changed position or got dirty or corroded contacts, you will have this symptom. Flip the switch back and forth a couple of times. If there is some change, then replace, clean, resolder, or even bypass it as appropriate.

Bad connection to deflection yoke or other parts in vertical output circuit. Bad connections are common in TVs and monitors. Check around the pins of large components like transformers, power transistors and resistors, or connectors for hairline cracks in the solder. Reseat internal connectors. Check particularly around the connector to the deflection yoke on the CRT.

Bad vertical deflection IC or transistor. You will probably need the service manual for this and the following. However, if the vertical deflection is done with an IC, the ECG Semiconductor Master Substitution guide may have its pinout which may be enough to test it with a scope.

Other bad parts in vertical deflection circuit though there are not that many parts that would kill the deflection entirely.

Loss of power to vertical deflection circuits. Check for blown fusable resistors/fuses and bad connections.

Loss of vertical oscillator or vertical drive signals.

The most likely possibilities are in the deflection output stage or bad connections to the yoke.

On the circuit, one of the resistors got blown up

U can see one or two bands of the colors of the resistor right?Compare it to a couple resistors beside it or around in the board.U should know and determine it values.

Thanks for the info about the STK392-110 IC's. I

There are some low-value (1-2 ohm) 1-watt resistors in each convergence yoke circuit. Most often one will get toasted when one chip fails. Problem should be visible to inspection.
