Looking for a special B/S carburator the run on natural gas, and not regular gas.

Looking for a special carburator, hopefully a B/S one, that runs on natural gas, and not gas, for a Coleman Powermate 500/6250 generator with a 10hp Briggs and Stratton engine. I'm looking to replace the generator caburator. Note: B/S engine was made in 1990.

There are natural or lpg operated engines in gen sets being sold currently on the market
try talking to a gen set repair /retailer shop to get the make of carby being used on those motors
regardless of the engine make , what is required is the engine capacity (CC) so that the correct flow rate for the engine through the carby can be sorted to get the correct carby
once the carby is identified , it may be possible to get it from e-bay or a gen set manufacture spares that makes lpg or natural gas gensets

Outboard troubleshooting. I have a 75 hp Mercury with 2 carbuerators. Serial # 6559142 it's around a 1989 model.. Problem= tank bubble pumps up tight...sits for a minute and gets soft...when I pump it up...

Sounds like the fuel pump isn't working, you can buy service kits though quite often corrosion will prevent you from removing the valves.. or it could simply be the fuel cap isn't venting, remove fuel cap and see if the engine continues to run!

I HAVE A VACCUM LEAK IN MY 2005 ENVOY. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIND IT.

Quick and easy way is while the vehicle is running get a can of carburator spray and start to spray in areas where there are vacuum lines or places for vacuum leaks like the intake manifold. If the idle changes in a area when you are sprying it, you will know the vacuum leak is in that area and you can narrow it down from there. I have special tools for this but use them on a regular basis so i need them and they do cost. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Is there any difference in bottle gas heater and natural gas heater

by bottle i am assuming you mean propane. yes there is a difference , natural gas is mostly methane gas (ch4) a very small molecule, propane is (c3h8) a much larger molecule. so they require different gas nozzles and cannot run a unit on the other fuel, some can be converted to run other gas. generally natural gas units are cheaper to run, but cost more for installation as a gas line has to be run to the unit and benefit of not running out of fuel. hope this helps.

hi,sounds like the float in the carb is stuck in the fully open position, you will have to take the carb out, take the bowl off the bottom of the carb and inspect the float needle assembly, the little clip that holds the float to the needle valve may have come off, allowing fuel to run unchecked into the carb and ultimately out through the overflow..hope this helps..cheers

Hope you drained the oil and also changed the oil filter.
This problem of cutting off is a carburator/fuel related issue.
I guess the fuel might not be pouring in to the float chambers faster enough.
Try this, remove the air -filter and thn start the engine and as it is about to cut off, block the intake(by your palm) at the carburators and see what happens...taking care not to over block it as the gas may pour out and also flood in the combustion chamber rendering it to shut off due to to much fuel.
If it does respond and stay running thn the problems is tht the carbs are not getting the gas as required and probabley you may have to recheck the float level, the float pin, carb synchro, air-fuel mixture.
Check the pet- c o c k too.
Hope this helps!

Gas peculating in carburator and running into motor.

there is exhaust that runs from head to head under carburetor . there should be a damper that opens when cold and closes when hot . when it stays open after motor reaches operating temperature gas in bowl boils and gas is a vapor instead of a mist and causes motor to run lean .
