Where can I get a wolfgang puck deep fryer power cord. Says use only TA HSING TA-35P it is for a 1700 watt deep fryer. Only problem is need a magnetic power plug that will work.

I have the deep fryer, which I have had a few years and got it out last night and I'm getting an error message. There is nothing about what to do about this in the trouble shooting guide. We made sure the control panel was in and after that have no idea how to solve this problem. Ann Lytle

Hi - The 1700 watt fryer uses a magnetic release cord set type TA 35 P. If your unit says "use only with TA HSING CORD SET TYPE TA 35P, It should work.

Wolfgang Puck has a website on which you can purchase replacement parts for this fryer. Click on products, and then the fryer for a complete listing.

The first thing to do would be to get an electrician to your home to check that the problem is not with your supply. If you ask nicely then the same guy could probably check your fryer for short circuits - the most likely culprit if the problem is intermittent is the plug on the power cord, the cable and the connection inside the fryer where the cord goes in - check that all these are ok. The other possible cause could be a faulty element, however this is unlikely to be an intermittent fault, and it would usually get worse quickly to the point of not working at all.
