Combo lite/vent fan/nite light affected by heat?

Broan combo Light/Vent Fan/Nite light fixture. Wired to Levitron combo three wall switch. Seems to work fine until the attic temperature exceeds 130 degrees (summer in Arizona!) Then both light and fan come on when either switch is opened. Night lite switch does not seem to be affected. When temperature drops below 115 in the attic, the switches operate correctly. We've doublechecked the wiring over and over. Can't find the problem. Could it be the fixture?

There's probably a thermal switch in the fixture which turns the fan on when the lights are on for a period of time and heat accumulates in the fixture. It sound like the heat from the attic is setting off the thermal switch. When the attic heat drops, the fixture works correctly.

This is a catch 22 situation, because if the upper housing in the attic is insulated from the attic heat, the insulation will prevent heat dissipation from the heat generated by the fixture's light bulbs. So, for safety reasons, the upper housing should not be insulated.
I'll need to work on this to come up with a fix.

Installed a new Utilitech Ventilation Fan/light.. The light flickers and the fan pulsates continuously. Model # 7115-02

No such thing as too much current in that situation. You either have a low voltage issue being less than 110VAC or check your neutral and grounds at both the switch and the vent/fan combo.

I have 2 switches going to my Broan Vent Fan. There is no Red wire from both switches. Fan & lights/nightlight work. How can I get the nightlight just work without turning on the lights?

you will need to have 3 conductor/gnd wire pulled for switch box to fan/light. install a tandem single gang twitch. this will require an electrician.

When turning on light there is a surge. Wanting to replace switch. Where would I be able to purchase one?

See if NuTone has a replacement part for that. Any of your local appliance stores, or Lowe's or the Depot should be able to help. FASCO! Yikes! Too many years with Fasco!

I purchased a Broan 744 light/fan combo. I want to wire the light and fan to separate switches. Do I use single pole switches and how do I wire up the switches?

Here is a link to the instruction manual. Page three shows a wiring diagram for separate switches.

This is the Switch NuTone Broan recommends for that fan.

A Bryant 3 way independent rocker switch with red, black and white wires for 3 lights in bathroom one switch not working can i replace it with a Broan Nutone P66V three function control

397bfdd.jpgLeviton triple switch
fe442eb.jpgNutone P66V

Nutone looks like an ordinary three-switch combo being marketed as a bathroom 'fan switch.'
The screws on the device would tell the story.

Look at the Leviton screws:
The switch has dark-colored screw on one side >> the hot from breaker always connects to dark screws.
Other side of switch has 3 silver-colored screws, but these can be brass colored screws > the wires to fan light and heater connect to each of these screws.

Most likely the Nutone switch is identical to the Leviton
I say this because the descriptor on Amazon describes it as a 'fan' switch.
It's being marketed as a bathroom fan-light combo switch >>> so it looks like an ordinary three-combo switch

Installing Broan exhaust fan/light/night light model QTR070L. Am connecting with a single switch power source. Fixture has three whites, one blue, one black, one red and the ground (green). In what color...

Hi .. with only bone switch for this combo unit, the connections would be like this .. all ahites together with the romex white , all colors, red, black, blue with the romex black, all greens together IF you had more than one switch , then the red, black, blue would be connected separately to one switch eack and separately to a 4 wire romex from the switch to the combo unit.

Spacesaver XL1800 Nite Lite will not go off

The problem is almost certainly on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed
without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This often can affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on.

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site,
