My golf buddy platinum screen is blank. Battery fully charged,screen only comes on when the charger is plugged in.

If the plug fits and the voltage is correct there would seem no reason why you shouldn't use it.

It might be worth checking the part number of the charger you have with the part number of the charger that should have come with new Golf Buddy - there is lots of information online.

Wtx plus works in demo mode but will not work when playing golf on course. Need help.

Not familiar with your device but I think it may be a bad charger cord, wrong cord(my phone displays "wrong charger" when I grab the wrong cord), or the charger port on the device could be bad. If it's been charged before, and now refuses the charge it could be a bad battery.
Sometimes, if you check the home site(computer), the company may have posted some help info. I know Amazon does for their Kindles.

I also had the same problem of the battery not lasting a whole round. I found out that if the unit was left for any length of time after it had been fully charged, it would start to discharge even though it was turned off. I now make sure that if I'm playing golf the next day I will put it back on charge overnight.
this has worked successfully for the last 5 months approx

How old is it ? Rechargeable batteries will only accept approximately 1,000 charge cycles before they stop charging. As you approach this end-of-life, the charge-LIFE will also greatly decrease. Hi Suzanne! Follow these steps to check that your charger and battery are working properly.

1. Unplug the charger for at least 30 seconds.
2. Plug the charger back in. The blue light on the charger should flash once.

3. Place the battery in the vacuum and turn it on for 30 seconds. (even if it does not turn on or powers off)
4. Turn the vacuum off.
5. Remove the battery and place it in the charger.

If the light on the charger is solid blue this is an indication that the battery has been reset. Allow 3-4 hours for the battery to fully charge. The blue light will start to blink slowly to indicate the battery is fully charged.
