Check the fan connections, one might not be connected right if you have just serviced it. Switching off with a flashing red light usually indicates a fan error.
Also is there a sequence to the flashes? e.g, 4 flashes and pause?
some manufacturers have a fault code table for the amount of flashes.

Possible that the lamp is faulty -if the hours have elapsed- check the lamp holder, the fitments.
check also the filters, clean and reset.
Make sure the power supply Unit is not having any poor soldering or faulty components to reduce the voltage output to the lamp thus making it shut down..

Morning, it flashes red light six times

From the manual:

Press the (ON/STANDBY) switch to turn on the projector. If
the power is not turned on, disconnect the AC power cord, then
confirm the ON/STANDBY lamp is turned off. After about 10
seconds, reconnect the AC power cord and turn on the power
again. If the indicators still light up, the electrical system has a
problem. Consult with qualified Sony personnel.

Hello.. My projector came on minutes ago now the light is just blinking. Can you please help? I have a Sony vpl-es7

You might check the following:

* signal is going to the input. If not, does the menu come up?
* air flow is ok. Projectors don't run well if they are hot and can't breathe

Why the remote for Sony VPL-ES7 projector won't change the slides but it will turn the projector off and on?

Have you connected the USB cable to your laptop so that the Sony remote can act as a mouse? Did the laptop respond by loading drivers?

Lamp is not working

How many times is the red light flashing at one time? The flashing is an error code, the number of flashes indicated the problem. It could be the bulb, the fan, a power issue, or even your altitude.
