Un plug the coil and see if it will start. if it does might be a safety switch bad.

John Deere L130 CV23s 75569 Kohler No spark to the first coil in wiring series, Known good coil, Replaced connector still no spark to that coil. Any help would be appreciated

A sheared flywheel key will not. This version of the Kohler CV employs fixed timing with a basic ignition module. A sheared flywheel key would not prevent spark but rather produce spark at the wrong time.

A simple test would be to disconnect the kill wire at the module and then check spark.

The module listed is JD MIU11542. They appear to be near symetrical and it may be possible (?) to install mirrored. The ignition module will not operate with a reversed field. Be sure to match the orientation of the working ignition module.

Comment for further assistance.

John Deere weed eater model s1400 no spark

I am guessing the ignition is a self-contained module so unless the kill switch or wire is damaged and grounding or the flywheel magnet has lost magnetism the ignition module will have to be replaced - unless the spark plug connector is a suppressor type and then it is possible the internal resistor is open circuit.

No spark one plug f725 john deere

Did you replace the IGNITION coil or the "PULSING coil"? There are two different types on that engine. The ignition coil makes the high-voltage spark, the pulsing coil is a sensor that tells the ignition control module when to tell the ignition coil to make that spark. The pulsing coil is pretty inexpensive on eBay.

If you change both the ignition coil and the pulsing coil and the problem still persists, you may need to replace the ignition control module.

Unfortunately, they don't make these things simple any more, or easy to troubleshoot.

F725- sometimes I get ruff running-found week spark one cylinder-ckecked ohms on spark wire,coils-swaped coils(OK)-still low spark. The book said to ing.module is next-there is no test for module but...

They aren't cheap that's for sure. Have you tried taking the part number and doing a google search? You may be amazed at some aftermarket prices. Do you have part number, I can check too.

I have a F725 mower. Runs fine when 1st started, after approx an hour it stalls and stops running. Acts as if out of gas. Sometimes you can choke it and it will run a while longer. Changed fuel filter...

Could be ignition module overheating, but then the coke influence doesn't make sense. Once it quits try either a shot of starting fluid in the carb, or tiny bit of gas. If it runs then you know you have a fuel problem. Check to be sure the gas cap is venting and check to be sure you're not getting vapor lock after the motor gets so hot. You could also disconnect fuel line to be fuel pump is pumping. Does it have a kawasaki engine? Beware of some plastic cam gears.
