I have a Jazzy select power wheelchair. I haven't used it in several months. I went to charge it today and only the red light is flashing. It says this is abnormal. Any ideas?

If your charger has a red and a green led on it when the green led lights the battery is charged. If you use it a lot during the day it may take 8 to 10 hrs or more to fully charge the batteries
I tried to charge my jazzy. The charge light (red) remained on for several hours. Finally I moved the wire slightly the charge light turned green than faded to red. What is my problem? Your solution would be greatly appreciated.
Hi You need new batteries If you have a battery store near home or an interstate battery distributor have them get you 2 U1 batteries. Charge before use and you should be go to go for another 3 years or so Hope this helps
scraig Lights on the joystick all lit up to the far right and the green light lit on the charger. Red indicates charging or blinking red indicates error in charger. Hope this helps
Low batteries Outlaw. If you have charged the batteries and after only a little while you get the blinking red light -----Time for New batteries. Hope this helps you
Retired get new batteries if they haven't been charged for that long they're shot. Invest in 2 good U1 batteries, charge before use and you should be good to go Good Luck
The Jazzy Select 6 requires an off-board charger. Plug the charger into a grounded outlet; preferably one that doesn't have other large loads on the circuit like refrigerator, freezer, microwave, etc. The male 3-prong XLR connector coming off the other end of the charger plugs into a female XLR connector which is on the joystick control's bottom-rear. Charge it overnight after each days use, and at least once each month overnight. You should get 2-4 hours of use from the chair at top speed with a 200 pound driver, depending on terrain and climate. If it isn't holding a charge, you will probably need two new U-1 type gel sealed batteries that run about $120.00 or so each. Make sure you test the old batteries first at a knowledgeable battery shop. These are deep cycle batteries and require a special testing. If the batteries are good, then your charger isn't charging. Search EBay or other online sites for a wheelchair charger in the 4-6 amp range. They can be found for about $45.00 or so. Pride will charge you a lot more.
Your batteries are bad or not charged up is it only 1 red light flashing or is it all power lights flashing 1 red means not enough charge. all means internal problem with joy stick
