Is there a recall on Frigidaire dehumidifier Model FAD504DUD

Some dehumidifiers with the model number, FAD504DUD, are subject to a recall. Record the serial number and then go to https://www.recallrtr.com/dehumidifier to check if your unit was manufactured in the bad batch.

Without the serial number, I can't be sure if your unit is in the 2016 recall. For details, you can look at https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/Dehumidifiers-Made-by-Midea-Recalled .

I hope this helps.

Is there a recall on this product? My compressor and fan run but no water is collected. I know other Amana dehumidifiers were recalled for fire risk due to compressor overheating so I took cover off and...

Your description indicates a loss of refrigerant in the dehumidifier. The metal heat exchanger above the water collector should become cold when the compressor is running - if it does not, your dehumidifier likely has lost it's refrigerant charge. You will have to take it to a certified (refrigerant handling) technician to repair. It may make more sense to replace with a new dehumidifier.

Check the CPSC website for dehumidifier recalls. they will have details of the brands/models/serial numbers of recalled units.

I got a letter telling me that ge dehumidifier is on recall model no. AHW30LK,G1 serial no. DM138705 the phone I call is busy1-877-593-8721 can you help me.

Unfortunately, 1000's of these units were recalled and there 100's of 1000's of owners of the Dehumidifier calling. You'll have to be patient and keep trying. Early morning is usually the best time. Start at 8am. The number you were given is for the company that's handling the recall for GE.
