Epson Wf-4630 keeps jamming when i use the ADF to scan documents

When you install Windows 10, it usually finds most of the peripheral devices and installs drivers for them. This includes printers. Open the printer and carefully remove any trapped paper. Remove and reinsert the cartridges. Press the Power button on the printer to discard any debris that may remain in the printer. Insert the cables again, connect them to the computer. Then load paper and try printing another document to see if the problem has been fixed.

Method 2. An alternative method to turn your printer on and off
Press the Off button on your printer to turn it off. Now, remove all the cables that are connected. Wait about two minutes (do nothing!) Press the On / Off button and hold it for 1 minute. Keep the button pressed and plug the power cord into your printer at the same time. You can ask someone to help you with it. After connecting the cable, keep the Power button pressed for one more minute. Release it later. Plug your printer into your computer, plug in any other cables you've removed, and try printing a document to see if the 0x97 error persists.

The ADF just pops open from the left side of the printer. There's some finger holes and just lift up the lid. As for grinding, it may be busted unless it got a sheet of paper in the gears.

1. turn off the printer.look in the cover of the adfunder neath it whre you see the document mat there is a white flap it should be inserted in between two gray plastic bar located on the left side of the document mat. If still same issue open the top cover of adf look on the rollers on the side and see if it is rotating. if all this steps fail adf has hardware problem and need to be replace
