SOURCE: Apple Ipad won't charge

IThe iPad needs more power than the average USB device. It doesn't run and charge at the same time on a regular USB port. If it doesn't charge with the original charger though, you have a hardware issue. You can always take it to the apple store and demonstrate the problem there, you'll probably receive a replacement. If you have issues with the warranty, there are third party places that will find our what's wrong. If you want to do it yourself, the good news is, it's not too hard to open it. Here is an iPad Repair Guide that shows how to open an iPad. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to iPad Repair NYC.

SOURCE: I have an IPad the X to delete applications does not come up I did go to apple store and they said to hook with computer ano did anymore to get the x back

Press and hold on the icon of the app you would like to delete. This should bring up the x on the icon.

If the x is not appearing then the folks at the apple store were correct and you will need to connect the iPad to iTunes in order to remove the apps.

SOURCE: On my apple ipad mini model A1432 that I bought

After you put in the wrong pass code 3 times, you only can unlock the iPad with the correct password, belonging to the Apple ID from what is only a part shown on the screen. If you don't have the passcode nor the password Apple assumes you are not the legal owner, and you can't use the iPad anymore. Just go back to your friend, ask him to unlock the screen, to wipe the content and reset the iPad to factory settings.
For that goto settings, general and scroll to the bottom line and press that. then the second line wipe everything. Again the login code is asked. but after that the iPad is empty.Your friend should also remove the iPad from his list of registered Apple equipment.

Re set ipad mini

Generally speaking, you need the Apple ID to reset your iPad. iPad needs you to enter the Apple ID to switch off your account and the Find My iPhone service will be turn off. If you are using iTunes to reset your iPad, you need to enter the Apple ID when your iPad reboots.

But if you have no Apple ID or passcode, you will have to reset your iPad without Apple ID. To reset iPad without Apple ID, you need first put iPad into DFU mode and connect it to your iTunes. Your iTunes will help you to reset your iPad without entering Apple ID easily. Resetting your iPad with this method will result in wiping all the data in your iPad. The following steps will show you how to do that.

Step 1: Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad to the computer with a USB cable.
Step 2: After that, turn off you device. Press and hold the Home button for 3 seconds.
Step 3: Put your iPad into DFU mode: Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds. Then release the power button and keep holding the home button. When you see the Apple logo disappears, you have successfully put your iPad into DFU mode.
Step 4: When iTunes detects that your iPad is in recovery mode, you can restore it now.
Step 5: Click on Restore iPad. Then you will be notified after the reset and your iPad will take a restart.

After resetting your iPad with the guidance mentioned above, you'd better create a new Apple ID and password in time. After resetting iPad, you will get all the data swept from iPad, and you can restore the files from your iPad, iTunes backup or iCloud backup. However, you can't backup iPad to iTunes/iCloud without Apple ID before you reset your iPad. In this case, you need the third-party iOS data recovery software to help you recover lost data from iPad after factory reset without Apple ID.

How can i get passcode

Hi Donald. Do you forget the passcode?

If you have synced your iPad with iTunes before you forget your iPad password, you can reset your iPad by using iTunes without losing data. Through iTunes, you can restore your iPad from the last backup and remove the passcode from your locked iPad while retaining your data. If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer. Otherwise, you have to follow the reset iPad Passcode with Recovery Mode section below. The following steps will show you how to reset iPad password with iTunes.

  1. Connect your iPad to the computer with via a USB cable that your iPad has trusted.
  2. Launch iTunes. If you've synced your iPad with iTunes, then no "enter password" is required.
  3. iTunes will automatically sync your iPad and create a backup file. If it doesn't, you should sync your iTunes and create a backup file manually by in the Summary window.
  4. In the Summary window, you can see the option "Restore iPad". Click it and follow prompts to choose the latest iTunes backup to restore your iPad.
After the restoration process is complete, your passcode will be erased and all your data will be restored from your backup. You will now be able to access your iPad without any passcode. And you can set your new password on iPad.

Ipad disabled b/c son forgot his password...help us get in?

If your son cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your iPad using the computer you last synced your iPad with. Using the last computer you synced with allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync all your data, apps, etc.

To begin the process, connect the iPad to your computer using the USB cable or lightning cable. Open iTunes and select the restore option.

If you restore on another computer, you can still unlock the device and remove the passcode, but your data and apps will be wiped.

Hope that helps!

How do i reset the passcode

If you forgot or lost your password for your iPad, you'll have to restore the iPad. Plug the iPad into your computer using the cable, and open iTunes. Click on your iPad in left pane and click the 'Summary' tab. Click 'Restore.' This will wipe all data from your iPad and effectively reset the device to factory settings, but it's the only way to reset the passcode.
Good luck!
