Wanting to upgrade maps on LG Model # LN730. how, where, $$ ?

Probably not ... you can add one if your like ... but the device will operate just fine without one.

first look if you can connect it to a computer sistem,and the you need a driver program to speak with your gps .

after just look were you can find the last soft and maps,take it and send it ;

No. Unless you pay 100$ + 15$ shipping. And I doubt it is reliable, I've read on other forums people received their "updated" LN730 GPS from LG and it was CRASHING, rendering this piece of **** useless. As I said before, please LG go out of business and people, don't feed this LG troll and stop buying their crappy products. I bought mine from the flea market at 60$ cash. Works good, but the maps are so old I nearly killed myself last summer driving the wrong way, a direction given by this LG product. I should sue them seriously. LG offers terrible support.

Impossible. There is no starting point preference for the LN730. But the minute you are out of your garage, it will sync with satellites and your current location will be put on the map. Even if you choose to go to anywhere before this, the directions will change and the route will update, so there is no need to put a "starting location" in it.

What free maps are you talking about? All updated maps I could find for mine cost money.

If these maps are provided by other users, is there a chance that they could be corrupted, making the Tomtom unable to read it?

Just enter your model number and which area you want an upgrade for and you can upgrade for around 50-75 dollars.
