Make sure you are lowering the presser foot and that the feed dogs are rising and falling under the fabric. If the feed dogs are below the needle plate and never rise above it, the feed dogs have been dropped for darning. Consult the manual.

New home madel 910 sewing mavhine manule

There could be a few reasons why the stitches on your New Home 910 sewing machine are tight and the fabric is not feeding forward properly. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the tension: Make sure that the tension on your sewing machine is properly adjusted. The tension controls how tightly the thread is pulled through the fabric. If the tension is too loose, the stitches will be too loose, and if it is too tight, the stitches will be too tight. You can refer to your sewing machine manual or a tension chart to help you adjust the tension properly.
  2. Check the needle: Make sure that you are using the correct needle size and type for the fabric you are sewing. Using the wrong needle can cause the stitches to be too tight or too loose, or it can cause the fabric to bunch or pucker.
  3. Clean and oil the machine: Make sure that you are regularly cleaning and oiling your sewing machine to keep it in good working order. Debris or lint can build up in the machine and cause problems with the stitching.
  4. Check the feed dogs: The feed dogs are the small teeth that move the fabric through the machine as you sew. Make sure that they are not clogged or damaged, and that they are properly aligned with the needle.
  5. Seek professional help: If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing problems with your sewing machine, it may be necessary to seek the help of a professional. A qualified sewing machine technician will be able to diagnose and repair any issues with your machine.

JANOME NEW HOME MY EXCEL 18W / MW3018 FREE ARM SEWING MACHINE -

Here are the steps to sew a buttonhole on the Janome New Home My Excel 18W/MW3018 sewing machine:
  1. Attach the buttonhole foot to the machine.
  2. Place the button in the back of the buttonhole foot and adjust the foot so that the button fits snugly.
  3. Select the buttonhole stitch on the machine. It may be a buttonhole symbol or a number corresponding to the buttonhole stitch.
  4. Set the stitch length to the desired length for the buttonhole. The machine may have preset lengths or you can adjust it manually.
  5. Place the fabric under the foot and lower the foot.
  6. Sew the first side of the buttonhole. Stop the machine when it reaches the end of the buttonhole.
  7. Sew the second side of the buttonhole, stopping at the end.
  8. Use a seam ripper or scissors to open the buttonhole carefully.
  9. Remove the fabric from the machine and trim any loose threads.
Make sure to practice on a scrap piece of fabric before sewing the buttonhole on your project.

Im looking for a new handle for tipmatic 1027 - broke it in recent home move. machine still works well. The number on the handle is 035067

The handle is integral to the machine, so it sort of becomes a spare. As these people, as they may be able to order direct.

My machine will chain without fabric but as soon as I place fabric and sew it will not make stitches on fabric

Be sure to use brand new needles in the machine (confirm they are the correct needles for the machine) and make sure they are installed facing the correct direction and pushed all the way up before tightened. Start a chain without the fabric, then when it's a couple inches long, raise the presser foot and add the fabric.

Could be your machine has a timing issue and probably requires service.

try changing the needles, if that doesn't help then having the machine checked to see the timing is off would be a good idea..

Serger won't chain off a stitch. Stitches won't chain and hold to fabric. Added new needle, rethreaded whole machine. Stitches won't connect to fabric or make a chain.

is it possible that the needles are in backwards?
it's very possible that the machine is out of time & would have to be taken to a sewing machine repair shop to be retimed

Janome Decor Excel 5018 Sewing machine Feeder dogs won't come up when trying to sew Help

I am having a problem with my Janome Decor Excel 5018. It was working fine, until the bobbin thread won't gather with the top thread. And the top thread is binding up underneath the fabric. Kim

try a new needle

rethread the machine top & bobbin, that way you make sure the thread is not caught anywhere

make sure the bobbin is correctly inserted in the machine

clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for loose thread & lint

always keep a long thread tail of 3 to 5 inches long, & keep the tails pulled back behind the needle
before sewing

if none of these things help the problem,, then it may need to be serviced
