Analog cameras operate on 24 and 12 volt. Digital/Network cameras, if POE work on 48 volts.

Testimonial: "it would be helpful if you explain POE and if voltages are DC or AC"

I think you mean digital cameras

I apologize. This is all DC and run off of 12 and 24 with 1amp. POE is Power Over Ethernet. If you have a network camera that is powered over the Cat 6 cable then that is a POE camera. Easiest way to discern this is if you are plugging into your camera with an RJ45 (large phone plug looking connector/data).

My one camera wont work anymore

Check camera charger output voltage with multimeter. If there is no problem with charger; charge camera battery to full charge. As a next step; check your camera battery voltage with multimeter. If battery is dead, replace battery with new one.

Battery replaced and will not turn on

its possible that the battery is not at fault here u need to get a multi meter and check for voltage on the othe side of the fuse as in not the side where the cable is terminated as all ur going to see is the voltage in. if there is no voltage then the system wont be able to charge the battery and so it wont run off it

Cant record from security camera on rd2780

There are several possible reasons for it:

1. Check for a loose or false contact in the connector jack of the media player. Unplug and plug it again, or rotate it.

2. The Video/Audio cable is defective. Such media players when were brand new, there were 2 sets of cables in the box. If you have the 2nd one, try it.

3. Check the video output of your security camera with other device (a TV set, a VCR, etc).

4. Confirm that both the security camera and the RCA media player are in NTSC system format.

5. Check the performance of your RCA media player video/audio input with other video source (VCR, satellite receiver, cable box receiver, TV set, etc). There are sometimes that there is an incompatibility between devices because of diffrences in the synchronization signals or voltage levels of the video signal.
