yes you can temporary fix with puting some mastic sealer over the bubble and leave for a few hours.

Remove orange sheild, remove single screw holding head in shaft then grab head with pliers and twist side to side until complete head is free. You should then be able to grab part of shaft. On power head loosen screws {about one turn each} that hold two white case halves near trigger,I think there are four, then there is a single torx screw on the bottom of lower case half in the middle that must be taken out to allow tube to be removed.Romove flexshaft from top.Check 4 plastic burnt to flexshaft,if there is you must replace tube liner as well, usally around bent part of tube the liner will go bad.

If you bought the trimmer new there should be a rod about 6" long and 1/8" thick. Above the trimmer head below the trimmer gearbox there is a hole. You have to put the rod in that hole and turn the head until that locks it from turning.
From there you can screw the trimmer head off by hand, or a strap wrench if it's really tight. It may be left hand threads.

Here is the closest I could come to your model number. Their site has only current models. See pages 29 and 30. It has left-handed threads it says, so to remove trimmer, turn it CLOCKWISE. Older Poulan models have a left handed shaft also. Older Echos had left handed crankshaft threads. Here is a HUGE manual.
