Hi there,I have a Yamata FY811 sewing machine with a German instruction manual.Unfortunately, I don't understand this language and furthermore, I am just starting to learn DIY to sew so it is quite difficult for me to guess around.Furthermore, I wish to exploit the possibilities offered by this machine so a manual would be really helpful.Would anyone know where I can find one or post a copy for me? I've written to different Yamata branches without any success :( I don't understand why by the way.Thank you very much for your help ;)

I also have a Yamata. I bought my sewing machine from Harbor Freight and printed my manual from their web site. It may be a close enough model that you could use this manual. Just a suggestion.
Under the description of the sewing machine it says download its manual.

Hi allmakes,
Thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately, I don't understand why I should look into relics, this machine is still being sold.
More importantly, I am on a very very tight budget and this machine has been given to me, that's why the booklet is in German. I cannot afford to spend 15-25 USD to buy a booklet. Five at the utmost. I feel terrible to have to write this :(
Meanwhile, yamata.com has replied to me and they are asking for 10 USD to send me a pdf copy.
I guess it's a bit candid of me to believe that someone would have a scanned version to share or that the manufacturer would provide for it free of charge...
Anyway, thank you for trying to help me. I appreciate it.
I have the same kind of sewing machine and the same kind of proble. I don't know how to thread this buty and there is no way to find manual. I have found manuals for other kind of electronics but not for this one. How is this possible in 2008?
Hello "Guest",
I hope you will swing by your post to read this reply.
I tried your suggestion and went to Harbor Freight website but they don't sell domestic sewing machine (anymore?) so I could not find a link for a manual for a similar machine like my Yamata FY 811.
Would you happen to still have a copy of the manual you downloaded to provide a copy to us through a free hosting website?
That would be really swell.
i would like to know how to overlock.
Attn firstlady39,
I tried with the link you provided but they have not record of a Yamata sewing machine.
Thanks anyway.
Hi allmakes,
Of course I did not look for a notice "relics" on the link given by firstlady39. I made a seach for Yamata and FY811, FY 811, FY-811.
I did not find from other links given another brand (J C Penny or Necchi or otherwise) with a machine with a picture close enough to mine to search for so I hope that an owner of a similar machine to the Yamata FY811 would swing by and help me with my request.
Thanks for your reply.
my manual is gone and the machine doesn't work as it should do.
