My TV screen is green when I trun it on. The sound works fine, but the screen just stays green. The picture sometimes comes on, but images are still left green. I unplugged all cables and plugged them back in, but that didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions. the TV is only about a year and half old. Thanks!

Found solution (although a pain) by trial and error. At first I turned off and unplugged the tv, disconnected the hdmi cable, put it all back together and plugged the tv back in and same green screen. Then I unplugged the tv and the cable box/dvr, waited 5 seconds, turned them both back on and NO green screen. I get the green screen about every 5 days, I have the cable box and the tv now plugged into a surge protector strip with an on/off button, so now when I get the green screen I simply push the button on the power strip to turn everything off at once, wait 3 seconds, flip the switch back on and NO green screen. If anyone has a permenant fix I'd sure like to hear it.
This solution worked for me. Plug the cable box and tv into a surge protector, turn everything off at once and flip the surge protector switch back on. Thanks for this hint.
I had a similar problem; green screen and also lost audio
i had everything plugged into a surge protector - turned off surge protector for a few minutes When i turned it back on the green screen was gone and audio was back which i had also lost. So far my OLEVIO 537H is working ok

I unplugged my TV for 15 minutes and that fixed mine a few months ago, the problem returned today, I noticed that it was only happening on the HDMI 1 port, when using my Xbox (on HDMI 2) the problem didn't happen
if you only have 1 HDMI source, try switching to the other port
I had a similar problem with too much green and blue on my screen and no red. It was on all channels all the time. I called the cable company and determined that my cable box went bad so I am going to get a new cable box. (I have HDTV DVR cable box). To figure out if that is the problem unplug the cable box from the TV and plug the TV directly into the cable in the wall. If your picture is fine then you know it is the cable box.
Some people have found if you leave the TV on for 15 minutes the green screen goes away and the TV returns to normal. If it is a Vizio, the tech support folks suggest this:
Try to reset
all setting
and then to see if the problem is solved.
1.
Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2.
choose Set up on the OSD;
3.
then choose Reset All settings;
4.
Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD.

Same problem--6 month old tv--green screen.
Vizio L37 is only 2 mos old, all of a sudden it has a green screen, no picture. Sound is there, remote menus work, just a green screen.. Any advice? I already tried to reset all settings, nothing
having the same issue, it happened once before to me, I unplugged the TV and pugged it back in like 10 minutes later, and it worked, didn't have the issue until just now.
I also tried switching to my Xbox (different HDMI port) and that worked fine.... so if you guys are only using 1 HDMI port, try switching to the other one
My TV does the same thing, but it is a red color all over the Screen...i have my computer hooked up to it and it looks perfect, along with my HDMI DVD player, which looks awesome too...ANY help would be appreciated!
soun en vidio ok my tv escreen is blue when i turn on what boar needs to replcae to fix problen
I have the Vizio 47 LCD and the screen kept going green. I took it back and got another one and two days later the same thing happens. I might last 2 hours or fifteen minutes and the screen will go back to green again. I have changed hdmi cables and that didn't help. I have a hard time believing I got 2 bad tv's unless there just junk. I like it when it works and I will try a different hdmi port and see what happens. Any other suggestions?
