I have an older Frigidaire oven RG74BC*1. The temp control knob has come loose and caused a short, popping the breakers. Any suggestions?
My best guess its A Frigidaire wall oven, circa 1966-1970,
unsafe to use at any time if the temp controller trips the circuit breaker
could be the oven thermostat causing the trip as well
if Frigidaire are still in business
You will need to ask an electrician to fit a /tested used controller or new superseded part temp controller and knob

Hi
This means a
loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the
door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
