Most likely its the fuser. Brother started using a heating element on these machines instead of a hot roller and had nothing but problems. Change several a month. Blurred or Fuzzy print.

Blurry colorwashed photos from canon pixma pro9000. What can I do to fix this?

Hi there, I located this video about removing the print head and cleaning it. I've had to clean my print head from time to time, so take a look at this video and see if it can give some help. Your printer might not look exactly the same, but you should be able to remove the print head. If cleaning the print head doesn't clean up the color issue, try contacting Cannon support: Canon Contact Us. I wish you best of luck!

How do I fix blurry print

On these machines the blurry prints is usually due to bad fuser sleeves, or worn out fuser roller and sleeve on the fuser. You may replace the fuser unit or just order sleeve and roller for your model and replace them on the fuser. Will take about 2 hours of your time. To check if the blurry prints are due to fuser issues, just swipe your hand over the printed page and if you have toner dust on your hand, the fuser is not cooking the toner on the paper. Fuser roller and sleeve are bad and need replacing.

Bad printing quality

First off, Turn on your printer, on your PC/laptop go to Printers and Faxes (you haven't said which operating system you use)
Find your printer icon, right click on it, select Properties, locate and find Maintenance tab, click cleaning/deep cleaning.

When you don't use your printer for a while, you must clean the head/nozzle , that's why you have blurry print outs.

I changed a cartridge but the print is still very light

Hi,
I received a similar HP Laserjet Color Printer with same issue for repair/ maintenance.
Actually the problem is with the printer design not the cartridge and it needs professional hands for servicing and cleaning. The mirrors which reflect laser beam get covered with dust and toner. Laser beams are partially reflected due to dust. Hence the image is not produced properly. Note that first magenta goes off, followed by yellow, then cyan and lastly black. this is because of the mirrors placement inside the printer.

Rest assure that the printer requires ONLY CLEANING OF THE MIRRORS, which are inside the printer. For cleaning, the printer's outer covers are required to be removed to reach the inside laser unit, mirror and lenses, which requires professional expertise.

Clean them yourself with dry, soft, lint-free cloth (if you are familiar with such tasks) or get it cleaned by any printer repair/ service professional. Please note that the mirrors, lenses and scanner assembly inside such printers is extremely complex and can get damaged very easily especially the mirrors.

If you need any help in cleaning mirrors and lenses let me know

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

My Hp Laserjet 2600n is printing normally but the colors are not printing clearly even if I put new cartridges. Only the black color is clear the others (Yellow, Magenta and Cyan) are not clear at all, it...

Hi,
I received a similar HP Laserjet Color Printer with same issue for repair/ maintenance a few months back. This is a common issue with HP 1600 and 2600 Printers.
Actually, the problem is with the printer design not the cartridges and it needs professional hands for servicing and cleaning. The mirrors which reflect laser beam get covered with dust and toner. Hence, the image is not produced properly/ sharp. (It is because of the reason that the image forming laser beam does not fully reflected by the mirrors as they are covered with dust/ toner) Note that first magenta goes off, followed by yellow, then cyan and lastly black. This is because of the mirrors placement inside the printer.

Rest assure that the printer requires ONLY CLEANING OF THE MIRRORS, which are inside the printer.

Clean them yourself with dry n soft cloth (if you are familiar with such tasks, if not you may seek professional assistance) or get it cleaned by any printer repair/ service professional. The printer has to be disassembled partially by removing the outer covers and the Laser Scanner Unit to clean the optics. Please note that the mirrors, lenses and scanner assembly inside such printers is extremely complex and can get damaged very easily especially the mirrors. So, it is recommended that if you are not comfortable and experienced enough with working inside/ disassembling such devices, get the printer serviced by authorized professional results.

Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

A white streak appears on the right hand side of the print out

Hi,
If faded prints happen even after replacing the toner cartridge or if your current cartridge has enough toner, it is most likely be due to dust at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the printer.

I have worked/ serviced similar Laserjet Printer with same issue.
Actually, faded prints are due the the dust/ toner dust accumulated on the optics (mirrors and lenses) inside the printer, which refect the laser beams to form prints. Hence the image is not produced properly. This needs professional hands for servicing and cleaning of the optics inside the printer.
Rest assure that the printer requires ONLY CLEANING OF THE MIRRORS, which are inside the printer. So, it is advised that you get the printer serviced by any printer repair/ service professional. (Please note that the mirrors, lenses and scanner assembly inside such printers is extremely complex and can get damaged very easily especially the mirrors).

Hope it would help. If you need any clarification, let me know
