Yyoucan use it whenever you wish. The motor is rated for continuous duty so you can run it all the time if you so wish, the filer will just get dirty quicker

its look like blower problem , 1st check blower speed controller, check blower motor , check its ball bearing etc , its does not have any link to external unit .
Hello BWOOD Check the thermostat FAN button is in AUTO position not ON position.That might be it .The relay is in the blower unit but they RARELY become frozen/welded stuck on.
The blower motor does have fan relay.or switch. Is this a window unit. If so it is he is right they go our often. If it is Central unit. The fan relay also go out quite often.
